Managing Welding Inspections and Non-Destructive Examination
Routine factory visits to carrying out inspections as per shop requirements before delivering to site and preparation of FAT reports.
Review the Vendor Material documents and given comments if any deviation between project specification and codes & standard requirements.
Carrying out quality audits to ensure the effectiveness of the audit function, standard of reporting and resolution of issues.
Review inspection reports and monitor the effectiveness of the inspections.
Administered activities related to interpretation and review of NDE Radiography Films; responsible for undertaking visual inspection of joints for VT, NDT, HT, PWHT, BHN, PMI, etc.
Essayed a stellar role in carrying out inspections in all Power Block, BOP and Sea water Intake and water treatment.
Facilitate between the Quality Assurance/ Quality Control department and Production through Welding and Non-Destructive Examination Matrixes, training, and presentations

Duties & Responsibilities:
* Reviewing & preparing project specific inspection & test plan (ITP), reviewing procedures
and maintaining QC documentation to ensure adequate documented evidence is available to prove
contract compliance
* Developing & implementing a stage-by-stage quality assurance and control systems to
ensure adherence to technical specification / code & standards / contact or client specifications
* Review the approved drawings as per the codes and standards to ensure correct revision prior
to start inspection
* Review of all certification and documentation to ensure validity (IMTE) and compliance
with codes, standards, specifications and inspection test plan.(consumables/equipment calibration/raw
materials)
* Verify the approved inspection & test plan prior to start inspection
* Inspecting & maintaining quality standards for incoming raw materials, equipment and
ensuring stringent adherence to quality standards, norms & practices, identifying gaps and taking

* Co-ordination with concern inspectors to perform the inspection activities performed as per approved ITP and all the resources
are available for the effective performance of inspection activities.
* Maintain and co-ordinate with the inspection schedule & activities
* Monitor on day-to-day basis, and review the deviations reported and co-ordinate with construction group, client
representative/TPI agency to perform stage inspection in line with the approved ITP & Inspection check list etc.,
* Monitor the use of proper calibration instruments at proper location for delivering the inspection activities
* Review & distribution of inspection reports, release notes
* Evaluate working area for quality standards and periodic check for the drawings revisions, procedure and guidelines are available
in the work area
* Performed regular inspection and testing schedules on related work to ensure quality specifications are met
* Coordinate with NDT personnel, to perform the job through LT & MT on pressure parts and structure parts to perform Non-
destructive testing before & after stress relieving process
* To ensure and offer percentage wise RT depending on project requirements and specification.
Quality Inspection including singing the daily welding & perform NDT reports and witnessing all applicable NDT (RT, PT, UT,
MT) and destructive testing like Bend Test (Face/Root), Tensile Test (Weld/Base Metal), Micro/Macro Etching of weld and Rock
well Hardness Test
* All regular maintenance activities of generators, all machineries and welding activities of Laser Welding, MIAB Welding,
SMAW/MMAW, SAW
* Testing of different grade material, thickness and different parameters
* Coordinate with QC-NDT Personnel and ensuring NDT testing carried out as per ASME Sec-V
* Conducting the heat treatment procedure based on the requirements given in drawing, codes and customer specification.
* Perform audit checks on welding parameters like voltage, current, travel speed and gas flow rates.

* Familiar with international codes, API 650, API620, API653, ASME Section II, Section V, Section VIII, Section IX, API 1104,
API 652, SSPC & NACE.
* Familiar with Welding Procedure Specification(WPS), Procedure Qualification Record (PQR), Welder Qualification Test (WQT),
P- numbers & F-numbers, Selection of Electrodes.
* Familiar with different types of quality documents, PQP, ITP, Quality Inspection Reports/Records (QIR), and Quality Check List.
* Familiar with SAUDI ARAMCO standards.
* Able to study and understand international codes and standards.
* Knowledge of steel and other material specification and acceptance criteria.
* Familiar with different types of tank instruments like oil skimmer, gauge hatches, level transmitters, temperature indicators, free
vent, pressure vacuum relief valve, flame arresters, heat exchanger and cathodic protection systems.
* Familiar with different types of NDT tests, RT, UT, MT, LPT, POT, VT, VBT, PNEUMATIC TEST, HYDROSTATIC TEST
Bachelor of Electrical & Electronics Engineering from MIET Engineering College, Anna University, India with an aggregate of 1st Class in April-2007.
Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering Board of Technical Education, India with an aggregate of 1st Class in 2004.
