Communication Engineer (Telecom)
Vsat responsibilities:
• Expertise in uploading configuration at the HUB/NOC (Gateway) & Vsat remote site.
• Installation, configuration, activation of site & troubleshooting as per Aramco’s standard site acceptance test (SAT) procedure for Vsat remote sites.
• Was responsible for supervision of Installation and configuration at HUB/NOC (Gateway) for 11 meters antenna (at Tanajib and Haradh).
• Hands-on experience of operating General Dynamic and Hughes Antenna communication system inside the Aramco facilities for controlling the HUB/NOC (Gateway) antenna using Antenna Control Unit.
• Optimizing Gain of the NOC antenna and troubleshooting using Network Management System server (Hughes Jovian ER7).
• Conducted Site acceptance test (SAT) procedures for system with the coordination of Manufacturer.
• Trained by Hughes Experts on how to add remote site on the server i.e. HUB/NOC (Gateway) via NMS Hughes Jovian platform.
• Monitored safety and environmental activities of subcontractors at the site as per Aramco Standards.
RF (UHF/VHF) communication responsibilities:
• Supervised for installation of Master sites and remote, cable testing using Site master (Anritsu) troubleshooting the issues, aligning the directional Yagi antenna of remote site, configuration of the Radio device, testing with master station and finally complete the SAT procedure for particular site in Saudi Wipro Cathodic protection Project.
• Documentation management which includes test reports, material, data sheets, configuration of remote sites .as per Aramco standards.
• Maintenance of remote site’s.
Pipeline Watchdog Web Monitor responsibilities:
• Installing, Commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Speaking the client (Aramco) and providing support to them accordingly.
• Satellite based connectivity.
Project management’s responsibilities:
• Helping senior managers to establish direction and goals amongst a project team.
• Assigning project team roles and responsibilities to individual team members.
• Making sure that everyone involved in the project knows their responsibilities.
• Writing up accurate and professional progress reports for senior project managers.
• Double checking any cost calculations for all projected project costs.
• Working as part of a team alongside more experienced and senior Project Managers.
• Attending on site and off site project meetings with clients and taking notes.
• Interacting directly with clients to determine their wants and needs.
• Contributing to the development of project process improvements and best practices.
• Keeping accurate records of all project expenses & then identifying areas of concern.
• Shipment process, processing from pick up location till delivery location (SASO, CITC approval and all).
