Pipeline Engineering Project
•Rugby pipeline, Norwset Holst: Represented a directional drilling contractor to defend them from liabilities arising from series of joint failures and resulting project delays and costs. Detail analysis was carried out to prove that the failure was due to the inadequate design of pipeline joints, not because of poor pipe joint construction. It was proved that necessary amendment for the pipeline joint design had not been carried out to accommodate the changes made in pipeline construction procedure and resulting pipe surrounding conditions. This was a very good lesson for application of CDM practises. Thrust blocks were redesigned.
Special Achievements:I have successfully defended a contractor against the client from the compensation resulting from pipeline joint failures. In Stevely Northern loop, I have designed innovative complex flood compensation system using low level flood volume to provide high level flood storage and got the EA approval which was considered difficult task by client.
