DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE ON Sour water Stripping unit, Waste water Treatment unit and Kinetic Hydrate Inhibitor Removal unit.
• Monitoring and overseeing plant operations.
• Assisting with startup, shutdown, and operations of facility equipment.
• Identifying problems that arise and resolving them.
• Ensuring that safety and environmental rules and programs are strictly adhered to.
• Conceptualizing and recommending plant improvement strategies.
• Carrying out site inspections and audits.
• Performing preventative and maintenance measures.
• Loading and unloading of Hydrocarbon tankers to API and waste treating areas.
• Creating markup P&IDs and attachments of Documents related to job which is being carried out.
• Observing gauges, dials, switches, and alarms, and other indicators to ensure that all machines are working properly.
• Training new hires and cross-training other staff members.
• Maintaining a clean, hazard-free work environment.
DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE ON Light Naphtha Splitter, Light Naphtha Hydrotreater, Naphtha Platformer and Hydrotreater unit, Acid gas and Hydrocarbon gas flare unit.
• Participate in plant start-up and commissioning activities, raise punch list items.
• Communicate with Control Room Operators and take care of the operations in field of all plant equipment such as turbines, pumps, compressors, valves, filters, etc.
• Perform regular rounds for the monitoring of equipment condition, recording operational data, and reporting abnormalities and take actions as required.
• Perform isolation/preparation and later normalization of equipment for maintenance activities and in line with PTW and LOTO procedures.
• Liaise with maintenance to ensure maintenance activities are done as planned.
• Take care of some basic maintenance activities as required.
• Apply operating procedures and participate in their improvement..
• Monitor sub-contractors activities to ensure safety is prioritized.
• Take appropriate actions in coordination with Control Room Operators and Shift Supervisor in case of emergency.
• Receive firefighting training based on fire fighting and emergency training program and act as per the role assigned in the Emergency Response Plan.
DUTIES AS A DCS OPERATOR
• Startup and shutdown of the units. According to safe procedures of UOP manual and also with emergency procedures.
• Divert and replace units from circulation.
• Calculation of inventory and alluge of feed and rundown tanks.
• Command on UCs logics causes and effects.
• Command on control loops how they run to maintain pressures, flows, temperature and levels.
• Follow instructions as applicable on timely basis, specified by operation manager.
• Monitor and control process parameters in Naphtha hydro treater, Platformer, Penex, Propane recovery, Hydrocarbon flare and acid gas flare unit.
• Take timely remedial actions in case of process alarms or plant upsets due to instrument/equipment failure, ensuring safety of plant & personnel.
• In case of emergency situation, take appropriate actions as per emergency procedures and contingency plans.
• Restore the Plant to normal operating conditions safely and efficiently once the situation is normalized.
• Follow-up work permits, take equipment/instruments out of service for maintenance and to take back in service after maintenance intervention. In liaison with Oil Movement section, prepare necessary feed tank and rundown tank.
