GAS processing unit for UREA & AMMONIA.(Joint Venture of Qatar Petroleum and YARA, Norway)
To carry out the installation, maintenance, repair and testing of a wide range of mechanical equipment’s in DISTRITC COOLING PLANT a safe manner in accordance with QF procedures and accepted technical standards. The equipment includes, cooling towers, condenser & chilled water pumps, Tertiary pumps, ozone generators, air compressors, fire pumps, water treatment system, Emergency diesel generators, vacuum pumps, wet and dry sprinkler system, pipe work related to water and irrigation systems and associated equipment’s like motorized valves etc. Ensure that all PPM and CM works assigned are carried out with a sense of commitment, in line with material and man-hour optimization. Perform all required tasks in a safe and professional manner, respecting all Qatar foundation HSE policies & practices and ensuring a culture of safe working practices is emanated in the workplace.

Power generation systems
Diesel Generator - Maintain & repair replace worn out parts Tappet adjustments and complete overhauling of diesel engine CUMMINS 6-BT, CATERPILLER C175-16, CAT-C 13, DEUTZ, and PERKINS
STEAM TURBINES - Prime mover and Power generation systems
Rotor replacement, changing the Journal and thrust bearings, Labyrinth, Carbon packing, rotor centering, carried out the servicing of over speed trip and regulating valves of condensing and non -condensing turbines of GEC, AEG-Kanis, Shin-Nippon and Siemens.
PUMPS: CENTRIFUGAL (Water and Hydrocarbon Service)
•Overhauling of all types of centrifugal pumps like Cryogenic, Back pullout, single stage, multistage, Sump, Sea water lift, Vertical split and Horizontal split pumps.
•Assisting with Machine shop and advising to rectify, equipment parts having geometrical deformation due to distortion and ageing.
•Failure analysis and troubleshooting of mechanical seals.
•Assembling different types of Mechanical seals like Single seal, double seal, Dry gas seal and repair, reconditioning of Mechanical seals.
RECIPROCATING and ROTARY PUMPS (Gear- Internal / External, Screw, Diaphragm pumps)
•Having Overhauling Experience of Rotary pumps and its Trouble shooting such as Performance Checking, renewal of wearing parts its Clearances and Changing spare parts to rectify the performance problems.
•Removal and reconditioning of suction and discharge valves.
•Checking dimensional clearances of Small end, Big end, and Main bearings, Crankshaft web deflection of heavy duty plunger pumps of Uraca, Ingersoll Rand, Union pumps.
COMPRESSOR: CENTRIFUGAL :( Process Air, Co2, Synthesis gas, Refrigeration and Natural Gas)
•Rotor replacement, changing the Journal and Thrust bearing, Labyrinth, LP & HP seals, rotor centering of De-Laval stroke, Cooper Bessemer, GE NuovoPignone, Dresser Clark, Elliott, Thomasen International BV with liquid film and ISO carbon seals
•Seal oil circuit and lube oil circuit repair and troubleshooting.
RECIPROCATING: Horizontal and V- Type (Air, gas)
•Having worked with Single and Multistage, single and double acting Compressors.
•Renewal of piston rings, rider rings and end clearances adjustment in both crank end & head end.
•Checking of bearings, cross head, piston rings, and bumping clearances.
•Axial centering of crankshaft and checking piston rod deflection
•Recording the Web deflection and aligning the Main bearings etc.
GEARBOX: Worked with all types of gear boxes (like Turbine between Generator and Compressors, Motors between pumps and Agitators, Conveyor Gear boxes, etc.
•Dismantling and assemble of all types of gear boxes.
•Dimensional checking of Shaft, Bearings& Housings.
•Inspection of gear teeth’s.
•Checking of Backlash and setting the same.
•Pig retrieving from Main oil lines of various sizes.
•Assembling, checking and setting blade angles of fin fans in Gas compression systems.
ALIGNMENT: : Knowledge of Condition monitoring techniques like vibration data collection Having experience and can Set the alignment of Rim and Face method for Non Floating shaft equipment’s and Reverse Indicator method for Floating and non-floating shaft equipment’s, as well target reading given by Vendor for Cold and Hot alignments and using laser alignment kit EASY LASER: 510and FLUKE 854 Vibration Analyzer, FLUKE 810 LASER SHAFT alignment system *
AUTO& HEAVY EQUIPMENTS :
Maintain & repair a variety of equipment’s including Diesel Engines, Heavy trucks wheel Loaders, Crane, forklifts, winches, mobile overhead cranes, Air compressors power generators, 12/24 Volt electrical system, troubleshooting with electrical mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic system, ROSCNBAUER Fire truck and Emergency Vehicle.
EXPOSURE IN STATIC EQUIPMENTS:
HEAT EXCHANGER: Worked all types of Heat Exchangers (like: Floating Head, U- Tube, Fixed Head, plate types) Such as Cleaning, Hydro Testing at Tube & Shell sides and having experience in Turbine Condensers and Fin Fan Coolers.
