Lead and direct cosmetic manufacturing operations for a beauty retailer that is responsible for supplying 250 stores in North America. Implement improvements to operational policies and processes to achieve maximum production output while ensuring products always meet quality standards. Manage three supervisors overseeing 150+ during high season including seasonal and permanent employees. Establish coaching and training programs to develop staff, facilitate efficiency, and improve performance. Approves labor force requirement proposals needed to fulfill production plan forecast and hit level-3 bonus (15% of basic pay during high season).
Selected Contributions:
 Use Microsoft Dynamics AX (DAX) to analyze weekly and monthly production forecast to be confirmed before release
 Schedule staff in Shift Board as needed and communicate to other room managers via the software if over/understaffed status is present in any given week to have the manpower allocated effectively.
 Reduced labor cost by implementing finite capacity project which tracks labor time spent per task and integrate the data into DAX to be taken into account when production plan is generated.
 Practice lean management methodology to overcome, correct and improve production and profitability obstacles.
 Conduct pre-shift meetings daily with supervisors, planners, inventory controllers and compounders to communicate and tackle all needs or obstacles and advise for an action plan accordingly.
 Increased Labor productivity, efficiency, quality and safety by using silicone moulds as a replacement to plastic ones for bulk soaps.
 Ensures Productivity vs. Efficiency reports are generated and received on daily basis to take action and make adjustments immediately where needed.
