Summary
Responsible to set up Indirect Materials (IDM) Organization; Develop and implement sourcing strategies to deliver best cost at minimum risk; Responsible to identify, develop, plan and implement IDM Supply Chain continuous improvement programs including supplier rationalization, regionalization, centralization of procurement and sourcing, etc. Single point of contact at Global IDM HQ for MEA driving global synergies.

Responsibilities
Commodity Management:
Commodities include Capital Goods/Material Handling Equipments, MRO, Fleet and Travel Management, Hotels, Facilities Management and Leasing, Temporary Labour, Office Supplies, Packaging, Marketing, Fuel, etc.
▪ Responsible for IDM category management across campus’ in MEA.
▪ Analyze world area IDM spend and develop opportunities funnel.
▪ Lead IDM MEA Organization (x2). Manage virtual team of back office buyers (x2).
▪ Contract Management with aid of Legal to minimize company’s exposure to risk.

Strategy:
▪ Develop sourcing strategy per IDM commodity and manage special projects like Solar Panel Roofing, Travel Program, etc.
▪ Drive & Deploy IDM Governance and Cost Out Program.
▪ Drive regionalization initiatives.
▪ Centralize sourcing and apply supplier rationalization.

Negotiation:
▪ Apply different forms of negotiation and sourcing techniques to maximize value.
▪ Negotiate with suppliers for better payment terms.
▪ Optimize use of electronic tools for procurement and sourcing.

Reporting:
▪ Organize Quarterly Reviews with suppliers and stakeholders for key commodities.
▪ Develop metrics to analyze cost out, process adherence and supplier performance.
▪ Report monthly tracking of KPIs, bridge analysis and contingency plan to stakeholders.

Achievements
▪ Managed IDM spend of $21M to achieve savings of $2.3M at 11% trend YoY.
▪ Recipient of Appreciation Award 2018 for driving cost out strategies in IDM.
▪ Negotiated better payment terms by factor of at least 30 days for Spend $1.7M.
▪ Developed and executed P-Card form of payment, improving payment term by factor of 45 days for spend of $900k.
▪ Contractualized 97% of corporate & facilities spend.
▪ Drove 56% IDM spend through e-Sourcing to align with global policies, bring transparency in negotiation and optimize savings of $1.2M.
