Reviewed plans for structures in conformance with the Zoning / Building Code and issued Permits. Interpretation and application of ICC (Intern Code Council) codes for Building, Energy, Accessibility, Mechanical and Zoning codes. Applied a combination of engineering principles and code knowledge in the checking review of construction plans and corrected mistakes in the design and construction of structures and/or systems. Marked the engineering plans with notes and recommended corrective actions. Reviewed the proposed design for gravity and lateral loads and made sure that the proposed structural system would be able to withstand the applied forces and to safely transmit the loads. Reviewed and processed estimates for engineering audit, Checked the accuracy of change orders impacting projects involving construction of highways, bridges, train stations. Performed field visits to ascertain the validity of contractor claims and to confirm the actual site conditions.

Applied extensive Knowledge in solving engineering problems involved in the design, maintenance and construction of structures and/or systems.

Facilitated the remodeling of an existing highway in Syracuse, New York. The project was inclusive of new bridges. Conducted testing of construction materials including concrete for air/voids and slump tests to determine its consistency and appropriateness with project requirements. Provided field-level monitoring as well as participated in project’s progress, including surveying and leveling of the area. Inspected work assuring conformance with project plans, specifications, worked as effective team member and facilitator. Got experience in construction of structures /facilities. Reviewed detailed plans for highway and bridges.

Designed Civil structures and was responsible for their maintenance. Structures included culverts, small bridges, aqueducts, retaining walls, drainage systems, water distribution systems, canals / channels. etc. Acted as Engineer in-charge for a city district in Balochistan State Government, Pakistan. Supervised the city along with four (4) subordinate junior Engineers, assigned job tasks to Sub Engineers, Engineering technicians in different parts of the district for efficient work. Inspected ongoing construction works to check the work completion schedules and the quality of work performed by the private / Government Contractors.
Oversaw maintenance of existing structures with the help of fourty (40) skilled / non skilled crew members for doing timely repairs and to take care of emergency works.
Directed the emergency relief operations in cases of breech of canals, floods.
