Responsibilities
• Implementation of Business strategy, responsible for client and business origination and coverage.
• Achievement of sales / business targets in terms of the number of clients acquired, business and revenue generated and maintained.
• Management of Trade Finance portfolio to maximize revenues and meet established business targets.
• Evaluate customer trade wallet and develop plan to increase share of wallet.
• Proactively monitor growth of assigned portfolio and monitoring profitability of individual accounts by collating, analyzing and interpreting information from various sources.
• Ensuring highest professional standards of customer services to the internal and external stake holders to deepen the existing business relationships.
• Interaction with internal and external stake holders to monitor and supervise smooth flow of business.
• Ensuring optimal utilization of both new and existing trade facilities and to conduct individual and joint client visits with Corporate Banking Team and Inclusive Development Group.
• Achieving the key performance indicators assigned in terms of assets book building, cross selling including cross selling including FX, Cash Management and other products and services offered by the bank.
• Monitoring of risk effectively and keep abreast of market developments in order to ensure proactive or remedial actions are taken to maintain the desired level of credit risk in the line with the Bank’s overall Credit Policies and Procedures.
• Identification of the opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices within the function taking into account international best practices, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
• Preparing Trade Proposals ensuring quality, accuracy and data integrity and adherence to Bank policy and Guidelines and to submit and recommend lending proposals to Divisional Head Trade Finance for onward submission to concerned for approvals.
• Keeping abreast with all Regulatory Guidelines (including State Bank of Pakistan’s Prudential Regulations) as well as internal NBP requirements (including credit policies) and ensure strict compliance.
• Working in partnership with Corporate Banking Relationship team and Inclusive Development Group, Trade Operations Division, Financial Institutions, Trade Processing Centers, Trade Generating Branches, Regulatory Compliance division to develop, structure, market and execute client business and maximize returns to the bank.
• Maintenance of bank internal control and standards including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
• Performing any other assignment assigned by the supervisors.
• Headed North trade team for selling trade and International Banking Products with main focus on Corporate, SME and branch referrals.
• Coordinated with various stake holders (Corp, SME & branch RMs) on enhancement of business and submitting quarterly reports to Head office.
• Issued Import Letters of Credit and Import Contracts.
• Handled Import Open Account and Import Advance Payment Cases.
• Handled Export Letters of Credit.
• Handled Export Negotiation and Export Advance Payment.
• Handled Electronic Import Forms and Electronic Export Forms.

I achieved 3.98 GPA in my Majors course. I topped my class of 2002 and I am a gold medalist. I did my 1st internship in ANZ Grindlays Bank Pakistan, in October of 1999.later on i did a six week long internship in Pakistan Tobacco Company in the July of 2002.
