Sr. Project Manager in charge or managing design and construction plans for highways and roads in Texas. Responsible for managing budgets and resource allocation on projects. Also mentoring several junior staff through continuous training.
Managing multiple design-bid-build Infrastructure construction projects for the development of roadways, infrastructure and landscaping in the prestigious campus of the Education City located in Doha, Qatar.
Managed engineering design for large diameter storm water drainage system for the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. With a total construction cost of SAR1.3 billion (~$350 million), the project aimed to relieve flooding from seasonal torrential rains. The project consisted of multiple drainage outfalls to the Red Sea coastline through environmentally sensitive coral reef. The project involved interfacing with multiple public agencies and stakeholders.
Managed roadway and storm-water drainage design on multiple transportation projects ranging from Interstate highways, multi-level interchanges, urban collectors and rural state routes. Clients included Texas department of transportation, Harris County Toll road Authority, Houston Metro and City of Houston and City of League City. Mentored junior engineers on highway and roadway design methodologies and processes. Assisted in marketing and proposal development for generating new work. Provided public involvement management services for public agencies.
Supervised a team of junior engineers to complete detailed Storm-water drainage studies and design for the development of Interchange on US-59 in the city of Lufkin, Texas. Developed storm water solutions to mitigate urban area flooding and rain water collection systems. Mentored engineers on storm water management studies and analyses.
Developed and prepared engineering designs plans from schematic phase to final construction plans for various transportation projects. Projects included local roads, state highways and interstate highways. Performed drainage design through the use hydro-dynamic modelling techniques. Prepared optimized roadway design by employing the use of GEOPAK design and modelling software while adhering to AASHTO guidelines.
Key responsibilities consisted of:
-Supervision and management of daily construction activities related to directional drilling.
- Coordinating construction progress and implementation of design variations.
- Continuously developing monitoring procedures to minimize drilling bit failure so as to reduce construction downtime.
- Designed and developed innovative down-hole tool retrieval techniques and tools.
Some of the projects completed are as below;
• 24-inch Steel water main Providence River Crossing - Bristol County Water Authority
• 72-inch HDPE water main crossing under Norfolk River - Norfolk County, Virginia
• Multiple 8-inch fuel line crossings near Houma, Louisiana, Exxon-Mobil
