I was a grade 2 teacher at Avondale Primary School. Within the first year I was selected as a Grade Head, overseeing my grade and ensuring that all planning is done correctly and on time according to our curriculum. Right after that, I was selcted to Act as Head of Department for grades 2 and 3. My responsibilities were to ensure that planning is done on time, moderate tests and assessments, check books and do class visits.

• Taught English Home Language, Afrikaans First Additional Language, Mathematics,
and Life Skills to Grade 2 learners (ages 7-8).
• Managed full classrooms of 40+ learners, implementing differentiated instruction to
meet diverse learning needs.
• Planned, assessed, and reported on learner progress in line with CAPS curriculum
requirements.
• Created engaging, inclusive learning environments that supported academic, social,
and emotional development.
