• Manage all IT related issues for New opening NBK-Dubai. Going live in 3 months time delivering the following systems up & running::
o Equation Core Banking System with the following modules (FX/MM, Lending, Clean Payment, iSMM, Account Services, Enhanced charges, Enhanced Security, CRM) .
o Branch Automation system “Cashier”.
o SIGCap system for signature capturing & retrieval
o ICCS online cheque clearing system.
o CB Fund Transfer System.
o SWIFT System.
o Reuter treasury system.
• Implement Voice recording system.
• Manage the Disaster Recovery plan considering all IT potential disaster scenarios.
• Manage the relationships with different applications and services providers.
• Manage IT cost cut initiatives.
• Perform systems audit & security review on regular basis.
• Address central bank requirements and provide the appropriate technical solutions.
• Develop the IT procedures.
• Support business and end users:
o Understanding the business & banking operations requirements and provide solutions.
o Develop and apply the data sharing plans.
o Confirm End users day to day support &service quality.
• Manage IT procurements.
• Apply IT controls to ensure complying with Risk requirements.
• Implementing UAE- IBAN
• Implementing UAE WPS.
• Implementing UAE New Local Payment System with full interface with Core banking, SWIFT, and Safewatch systems to ensure STP .
• Implementing UAE Direct Debit System .
• New branch opening in Abu Dhabi -End to End IT delivery including
o Overseas data centre preparations and fit out.
o Sizing and equipments procurements..
o Branch connectivity to Dubai main data centre and Kuwait, dedicated & VPN links
o Confirming application software and user access.
o Confirm ATM readiness and smooth transactions.
• Bank & Data Centre Relocation to new premises
o Overseas data centre preparations and fit out.
o Servers, Storage, Network devices, ATM sizing & procurements.
oSetup new data centre connectivity to Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, UASWITCH, CBUAE, Reuters.
o Servers & applications setup, and data migration.
o ATM setup and operations
o Staff & IT appliances relocation
- Setup the housing bank project management methodology with the PMO team. (under processing).
- Vender selection for EPMO SoftWare solution (under processing).
- Manage Enterprise Content Management System (ECM) (under processing).
• Manage MISYS Program: Managing Main Vendor “ MISYS” financial
• Prepare eCommerce costing Model as part of Spin Off process.
• Implementing Takaful Payment System.
• Manage Corporate payroll system partially (Web Interface).
• Manage Omni flow system integration
• Prepare plan to upgrade Bank’s Core system.
• LGs Automation -Setup Trade Innovation to run Import/Export LGs.
• Manage iSMM implementation.
• Manage Core Banking System Upgrade to EQ3.81.
• Manage Implementation of EQ 24*7 module
• Analysis, Develop, Test, and deployment of discounted cheques system in Arab bank- Algeria.
• Upgrade MISYS / Equation from EQ3.42 to EQ3.6 for Arab bank - Qatar live system including in-house programs amendments.
• Upgrade MISYS/ Equation from EQ3.41 to EQ3.6 for Arab Bank - Algeria live system including in-house programs amendments.
• Analysis, Develop, test, and deployment of Local branches reconciliations system for Arab Bank-Jordan, Palestine, and Lebanon.
• Study different Equation enhancements to be implemented for Arab Bank.
• Follow up with MISYS on different Equation issues including modules implementation and technical problems solving.
• Support Arab Bank- Arab areas IT centers in different Equation issues.
• Support Arab Bank IT members in different technical AS400, RPG, Equation issues.
• Follow up on NOVORECII (Nostro, Vostro reconciliations).
• Develop miscellaneous programs for reporting and inquiries.
• Develop different Equation User_Exit programs.
• Participate in Middle ware proof of concept study.
• Participate in Equation Upgrade from EQ2 to EQ3.3 Including in-house programs amendments.
• Member of Y2K project’s team .
• Analysis, develop, test, and deployment of Returned cheques system.
• Develop different programs for CBJ reports, Enquiries.
• Member of ATM team (AS400 side).
• Follow up / Amend Health Insurance system.
• Perform different operations tasks :
o Support users on AS400, Equation, and PC’s issues.
o Run Equation E.O.D cycles including problems analyzing & solving.
o Systems backup & recovery.
o Participate in OS upgrades.
• Analyze and follow up different Equation, AS400 with vendors.
• Know-how transfers with other colleagues.
• Establish the IT section including: Price quotation analysis, awarding tenders recommendations, and hand-over for infrastructure, network, hardware, and software.
• Participate in developing NAF applications using INGRSS database and Open ROAD development tools on SOLARIS/UNIX SUN server.
• Administrator for SUN server and DBA for INGRESS DBMS.
• Manage IT staff.
• Prepare training courses in different MS applications; MS-DOS, Windows, Word, Excell.
