Formulating and developing Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies and plans, not just for existing activities but also with respect to new acquisitions or processes.
Profiling and assessing risks and measuring performance by assessing how well the risks and Impacts are being controlled. Preparing Impact Assessment for activities having aspects on environment
Reviewing OHSE performance, revising plans, and risk/Impact assessments to see if they need updating and taking action on lessons learned, from audits and inspection reports.
Advising and guiding in investigations of near misses, property damage, injuries, occupational illness and Environmental incidents, spills…etc and ensuring that database/ records of such incidents are maintained.
Ensuring that incidents are reported and communicated to concerned parties and Risk/Impact assessment is reviewed accordingly and lessons learned are implemented to prevent re-occurrences.
Liaising with a wide range of external bodies, including third parties, training institutes, consultants, contractors, civil defense, enforcing authorities. Representing the organization in regards to OHSE matters
Implementing & monitoring of different site’s OHSE performances in accordance with organization OHSE Policies, objectives and targets, Procedures, client's requirements, applicable local regulations and International standards.
Conducting regular Internal OHSE Audits. Liaising with certification bodies for regular external audits and ensuring that system requirements are in place
Developing of OHSE training modules and trainings calendars/ programs, organizing and conducting different levels of OHSE trainings for management, supervisory staff and workers
Advising senior management & personnel Dept on statutory regulations.
Organizing Monthly/ regular OHSE meetings with construction dept, HSE Dept, .etc. Coaching, supervising, guiding and developing OHSE staff
Preparing OHSE Monthly performance reports and OHSE summery sheets for top management
Preparing Emergency Evacuation Plans and conducting mock drills
Organizing external trainings such as First Aid, Fire Marshal, others with eye on accreditations of training providers and cost control
Ensuring third party operating certificates; Third party inspection for lifting tools, lifting equipment’s …etc are maintained and valid
Advising procurement dept on purchases of PPE’s, OHSE appliances as per approved standards
Advising Estimation and tendering dept on OHSE requirements and assessing of OHSE budgeting
Framing clients’ pre-qualifications as well as pre-questionaries’ for subcontractors in new projects
Monitoring Subcontractors’ occupational health, safety and environment performance, ensuring that minimum OHSE qualifications are met and conducting pre-Job OHSE meetings with new Subcontractors
Carrying out regular and random inspections for projects in UAE and Overseas projects in order to monitor the occupational health, safety and environment performance and taking spot corrections to avoid any incidents might arise by unsafe acts and unsafe conditions observed
Organizing OHSE management Review Meetings with top management
Participating in clients, consultant, contractors HSE meetings and joint HSE inspections
Organizing Safety Incentive Scheme i.e. Monthly Safe Supervisor Award, Monthly Safe Worker Award and Formulating Monthly HSE Agendas composed of Monthly Quiz, Did you Know flyers, Monthly events and training
Planning and conducting Audits and inspections for all company premises and group subsidiaries like stores, warehouses, labor accommodations, Manufacturing Units (Marble, Furniture and Metal factories), ensuring compliance with local regulations
Playing vital role in corporate social responsibility- sustainability programs with vision of assisting for Organization, Environment, society and employees.
