My Duties include; taking off Architectural/Mechanical and Structural quantities from detailed drawings using Computer Aided Design or hard copy take-offs, help with pricing and compilation of the Bill of Quantities, assisting with post contract work such as final accounts and also assisting with claims and liability issues. Currently working on mixed projects, ranging from, Airport hangers, High Rise commercial structures, and small scale housing complexes throughout the Middle East. Recently promoted to project team leader and my tasks range from assisting the Contracts Manager with claims and liability issues, as well as leading a team of Quantity Surveyors on various projects in regards to measurement of quantities, BOQ compilation, variation measurements, project administration, and tender analysis reporting.

Was hired to undertake training and help the senior estimator with producing detailed take-offs and producing cost analysis reports. My main duties included reading and taking-off from detailed drawings manually, or using a digitizer board. Once take-off was complete I then used a professional software package (Timberline estimating software), to create assemblies relating to the type of project, including site works.
