Website Final Inspect / Publisher at Yell Adworks
  • Philippines
  • November 2010 to July 2011

We inspected the company's pages directory before publishing. If there were information that needed clarification, we call the business' number and ask them of the details missing. We then update the directory before sending to the company's portal for directory publication.
Teamwork is important so as to finish the allotted number of businesses we need to inspect.
Being keen observant and accurate were needed for this job so as to complete the information needed, and to avoid double work for each directory.
I also learned to communicate clearly with others even if it is only through phones.

Missionary / Preacher at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
  • Philippines
  • November 2008 to June 2010

I served 18 months for our Church, and this is the reason why there is a gap after my schooling until the next job I have had.
I taught our Church belief to those who were or not part of our faith. It was a voluntary service. I did not receive any salary for 18 months.
What I learned were: 1) loving people more; 2) working with companions who have different personality; 3) serving without expecting something in return; 4) working with a team; 5) setting goals and achieving them; 6) staying calmed and composed after rejections; 7) becoming positive; 8) understanding people's beliefs and concerns; 9) solving problems; and 10) leadership skills a I trained new missionaries in the field.
