• Reviewing inventions, interviewing inventors, and guiding them to file patent applications
in different jurisdictions.
Conducting Prior-art/Patentability/Novelty Searches, Validity/Invalidity Searches,
Clearance/Freedom to Operate (FTO) Searches, Evidence of Use (EoU)/Infringement
Searches, Due Diligence, Market Research, Landscape and White Space Analysis.
• Patent portfolio management of University/Organization.
• Maintaining and updating database of IDFs, patent applications, legal documents and
tracking deadlines.
• Interacting with Inventors and Patent Agents for drafting and filing of patent applications
and responding to office actions during prosecution.
• Conducting competitive analysis Porters Five Forces, SWOT Analysis, Canvas modeling
etc. Preparing IP and Market Research Reports on various technologies.
• Interacting with inventors, and organizations regarding IP strategies and R&D related
solutions.
• IPR search on various databases including Orbit, Derwent Innovation, Total PatentLexisNexis,
Espacenet, USPTO, EU databases, PAJ (Japan), CIPO, KIPRIS, XLPAT,
native search databases, etc.
• Familiar with Patent Laws (US, Europe, India and other jurisdictions).
