• Led the development and launch of Sharia compliant investment capabilities, overseeing structuring, governance, and execution. Successfully attracted institutional investors, resulting in adding more than $4.5 billion in assets under
implementation (OCIO).
• Developed and executed Mercer’s country strategy, driving market expansion and revenue diversification. Led client
engagements with institutional clients, family offices, foundations, and wealth managers to position Mercer as a leader in implementation services. Forged key strategic partnerships with sharia experts and wealth managers to unlock new
markets and enhance Mercer’s competitive edge.
• Founding member of Mercer’s IMEA Capital Market Assumptions Committee. The first Mercer Committee to develop market assumptions for Saudi Equities, Sukuk, and Sharia- compliant global equities, enhancing regional investment
insights and strategy.

- Raised and provided advice on more than SAR 550 Million of assets, generating at least 2% of alpha over the policy benchmark.

- Led the project that introduced Derayah Smart, the first Robo advisor in Saudi Arabia. 1500 clients invested more than 10 million riyals in Derayah Smart.

- Oversaw the Defined Contribution plan and recommended efficiency improvements to reduce plan's cost by more than 70%.

- Invested more than $500 Million in structured products that led to systematic and consistent 55bps of alpha over the S&P 500 for 3 years.

- Introduced completion management to the equity portfolio to allow active management to be more selective in adding active managers.

- Developed the strategy, guidelines, and screens to start the in-sourcing of the local public equity portfolio; the strategy outperformed Saudi Tadawul TR index by 5% from September 2015 to June 2016.

- Saved more than $30 Million in fees by shifting $2.5 Billion of assets to passive and quantitative strategies after a macro analysis concluded that the environment is not conducive to active managers’ outperformance

- Established an advanced regression based model to evaluate fund managers’ strategy and reveal closeted indexers, which reduced fees of 3 fund managers resulting in $600 thousands of annual savings.

- Accelerated deploying $4.5 billion to various markets by utilizing liquidity, valuation and macroeconomic indicators; increasing the pension plan’s value by $700 million.

- Promoted measures to reposition Internal Audit from policing to internal controls consulting, encouraging clients to correct audit concerns before the end of the audit engagement, resulting in lowering future engagements time by 10%

- Closed the actuarial gap by leading the transfer of $600 million from short duration to long duration debt

- Built financial models to scenario test and monitor the effect of potential investments on the portfolio’s duration, rating, and yield; collaborated with the Co-PM to purchase more than $250 million in Saudi, Qatari, and UAE debt
