Department Management
• Ensure that the company’s accounting records are properly and accurately maintained Ensure that legally required accounting standards are followed
• Liaises and coordinates with internal and external parties at the appropriate levels to support and ensure execution and smooth flow of the company’s business

Payables
• Manages the registration, verification and recording of all invoices from various vendors in order to arrange payments as per the approved policies and procedures
Auditors
• Coordinates and co-operates fully with internal and external auditors to ensure they have full access and support throughout the audit process to minimise the likelihood of disruption or unnecessary discrepancies.

Receivables
• Manages the analysis, verification, recording, reconciliation and follow up of receivables from all agents and with the regional offices of the company to ensure completeness and accuracy of corporate accounting and reporting

Accounting
• Leads the processing of all financial transactions of the company in a rigorous and thorough manner to enable their accurate accounting
• Oversees compilation and analysis of financial information and prepares reports and other management information as required, conducts additional research where necessary to ensure that Senior Managers have the relevant information needed to support decision-making

Budgeting
• Contributes to the preparation of the corporate budget and monitors financial performance versus the budget so that the businesses and functions are aware of anticipated costs/revenues and areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified

Management
• Ensures the effective achievement of functional objectives through the leadership of the Finance department setting departmental and individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal in order to maximize subordinate and departmental performance
