• Enlisted Ozone as approved service provider with Environmental Authority in the kingdom of Bahrain for providing consultation services up to EIA studies and with TAMKEEN as approved service provider for JAWDA scheme. Delivered strategic partnership with Canadian environmental consultancy firm and Austrian company for supplying water and wastewater treatment solutions. Instigated strategic partnerships with international firm for ISO consultation and training services. Established reliable network of local qualified freelancers for both environmental and management system consultations.
• Acted as Deputy GM, leading USCO to its highest production records ever made since the commissioning. Successfully handled critical customer complaints worth USD 5 Millions. Designed and implemented customer's referral system for quarantined material, impacting rework and reducing the loss of downgrading. Conducted market research and designed polishing practices for different surface finishes. Established KPI for major USCO's production lines and integrated management system in compliance with ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS18001.
• Member of taskforce to resolve high inclusion and gas content in direct chill cast aluminum ingot produced by ALBA (Aluminum Bahrain Smelter) . Investigated and resolved annealing stain problem in aluminum ( 5xxx series alloy) and studied and revealed the cause of low elongation in (3xxx series alloy). Studying the cold mill capability, determined the mill accuracy and precision used to decide on gauge tolerance offered to customers, narrowing the gauge tolerance window to half. Developed new equation calculating the rolling aim gauge based on order tolerances.
• Conducted feasibility study comparing outsourcing and recruiting for operation and the maintenance for RO and demineralised water plants. Significantly reducing water consumption by diverting the route of treated water and utilising internally.
• Resolved range of technical issues including high turbidity effluent due to floating sludge in final sedimentation tanks of dewatering system and of high TKN and high nitrates in effluent, deposit in evaporation system heat exchanger tubes adjusting and significantly reduced the chemicals dosing, low pH trend in non-contact water cooling system, scale deposition in furnace cooling jackets and compressor heat exchangers tubes. Analysing and solving problem in the final process of waste acid treatment increasing efficiency by 56% and with evaporation system increasing evaporation efficiency by 35%.
• Fulfilled the environmental prerequisites resulting in achieving the final operational license to USCO. Developed recycling solution for major solid hazardous wastes, making significant savings on the costs of wastes disposal.
