Operations Manager - Contracting Electrical & Telecom Infrastructure
Reporting to the DM, I head the Operations and execution teams with direct relation to Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) 11 kV substation equipment installation and HV/LV cable laying works and infrastructure
Key Projects:
DEWA 11kV substation works including equipment installation and cable laying project; a 12 month period project finished in 4 months.
DEWA 11kV Cable Laying project.
Empower LV cabling to chillers project
Zayed University Fiber optic cabling project.
Emaar Dubai Hills project LV cable laying.
Arabtec Tiara Towers project, transformers shift and HV cable laying.
Several private DEWA equipment shifting and HV cable laying projects.
Reporting to the GM, I lead the marketing & sales department as well as operations & procurement directing all processes and actions of the company team. With full GM responsibilities
Achievements:
Developed the sourcing, procurement and supply as well as logistics for long term contract to supply 500, 000 cubic meters of gravel to the Rail way project in Arafat Makkah
Secured SR28Mln. Project for similar capacity of gravel supply for 6 Concrete Batching Plants.
Prospected Extra 10 giant project in 2009 - 2020 for the supply of building material with 90% potential
Appointed as acting General Manager.
Provided Management Consultancy Services regarding Concrete Batching Plants establishing, sourcing, setup and operation at high-level management.
Rigging Consultancy and heavy equipment rental. Transportation management.
Steel fabrication for special purposes steel items.
Provided IT Consultancy Services to construction products companies regarding Concrete Batching Plants automation and IT Audit & IT infrastructure
Reporting to the General Manager I set-up & Lead the following Departments & Functions for 11 stations each consists of 2 Concrete Batching Plants with 120 m3/h capacity each:
1- Procurement Department; approx SR 10 Mln. Per Annum:-
a) Planned for Procurement & Purchasing department & operations.
b) Created the division from zero.
c) Operated the division; Implementation.
d) Organized the processes & Procedures.
e) Initialized Document Control System & Procedures.
f) Managed Supplier Relations & Payments.
2- Contracts Department; approx SR 20 Mln. Per Annum:-
a) Managed Contracting processes from Planning to Implementation.
b) Managed Interim Payments for contractors & contracting suppliers.
c) Created the division from zero.
d) Headed & Operated the division; Implementation.
e) Organized the processes & Procedures as well as documentation and document control system.
3- Commercial Department; approx SR 140 Mln. Lump sum:-
a) Managed Commercial functions & processes from A to Z
b) Managed L/C requests and issuance for local & International suppliers and contractors.
c) Created the division from scratch.
d) Headed & Operated the division; Implementation.
e) Organized the processes & Procedures as well as documentation and document control system.
4- Vehicles & Equipments Department; 45 Cars, 12 Concrete Pumps, 5 Buses, 150 Transit Mixers, 5 Trucks, 8 Wheel Loaders, 5 Mobile Cranes, 3 Batching Plants, 8 Ice Plants, 3 Aggregate Washers and 14 Caterpillar Electricity Generators for 3 Patching Plants:-
a) Managed Sourcing for vehicles & Equipments from budgeting to operation of them.
b) Selecting suitable vehicles & equipments like Transit Mixers, Concrete Pumps…etc.
c) Tailoring a complete agreement(s) with suppliers for the same.
d) Managed Registration & Licensing for them
e) Managed the processes & Procedures for running these vehicles & equipments as well as documentation and document control system.
Operation & Maintenance management of Heavy equipment & Rental Company (Cranes, Lifting Equipment, Earth moving equipment, transportation trucks, .. etc.) owned by some ex-executives of SBG.
Provided detailed study, Analysis, Budgeting, execution plan and application for industrial licence for Qatari Diyar Construction Products Company (QDCPC) a joint venture between SBG & QD consists of 7 industrial plants (Precast, Readymix, Marble & Granite, Rebar Fabrication (C&B), Structural Steel fabrication, Interior Finishing company, Aluminium Fabrication Company)
Reporting to the Sr. Vice President I generated comprehensive studies, analysis, business plans, budgeting, sourcing, installation, operations, HR, procurement and sales projections for the following projects:
New factory to Fabricate Reinforcement Steel Bars; Rebar Cut & Bend business; 18, 000 ton/month capacity for all production lines (Cold rolling, straightening, C&B, Welded Wire Mesh, stirrups, spirals, cages, piles, etc.)
New aggregate crusher plant; 2, 000 m3/day production capacity of 3/8”, ½” & ¾” sizes.
New Ready-mix Concrete Batching Plant; 2 Batching Plants each of 120 m3/h capacity, I provided the study & the “know-how” to establish & setup this readymix concrete batching plant, with all sourcing & budgeting for their operations in Riyadh.
New Fusion Boded Epoxy Coating Plant for the reinforcement steel bars; 3, 000 ton/month production capacity of straight rebars and 1, 000 ton/m for cut & bend of the FBECRs. I provided detailed study, Analysis, Budgeting, sourcing, procurement, execution plan and application for industrial license to establish & setup this factory in Jeddah/Yanbu.
Reporting to the General Manager I headed the division of Security & Detection including Marketing & Selling High-Tech Electronic Security Inspection Systems; Explosives Trace detectors, metal detectors, Under Vehicle Inspection systems, CCTV Surveillance and Access Control systems, Intrusion Detection, Low current systems and Explosives Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Equipments.
Achievements:
Brought in SR8.6Mln per annum sales.
Expanded The Client Data Base by 200%.
Tendering major Airports, borders surveillance projects.
Secured major key projects for Airports and boarders guard regarding x-ray inspection system for luggage and cargo
Coaching and training military and authorities individuals on specific security systems and software.
Reporting to the General Manager I Headed the Marketing & Sales General Administration; covering the 11 branches of the firm all over the Kingdom to Market & Trade Marble, Stone, Ceramic and Granite.

Generated SR40Mln Project in Jeddah, SR28Mln sales in Riyadh and SR45Mln Sales in Dammam.
Allocated (OMANI MARBLE) according to ASTM standards for marble & stone industry.
Conducted technical seminars for the Pilipino Engineering Committee in Eastern Province that lead to huge inquiries from the individual engineers participated.
Set up of Marketing & Sales General Administration for the 11 branches of the establishments all over the Kingdom.
Set-up of loss prevention and wastage customization procedures.
Appointed as Deputy General Manager.
Reporting to the General Manager, I Headed the Marketing & Sales Department. Our line is in the field of Fusion Bonded Epoxy Coated Steel Re-bars Manufacturing, Marketing and Sales business.
