The estimator works closely with the Managing Director and General Managers to determine the costs associated with completing the scope of work in a tender
1- Cost Estimating and Budgeting: Estimating the overall cost of a project and preparing detailed budgets.
2- Tender Preparation: Preparing tender documents, including cost estimates, bills of quantities, &contract terms.
3- Cost Control: Monitoring and controlling project costs to ensure that the project remains within
budget.
4- Contract Administration: Ensuring that all aspects of contracts are adhered to, including payments,
variations, and contractual obligations.
5- Procurement: Advising on the selection of contractors, suppliers, and materials, and managing the
procurement process.
6- Valuation of Work: Valuing completed work and ensuring payment is made according to the agreed
schedule.
7- Risk Management: Identifying potential cost-related risks during the project lifecycle and
recommending mitigation strategies.
8- Negotiations: Negotiating with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers on cost-related matters.
9- Reporting: Providing detailed cost reports to stakeholders and ensuring financial transparency
throughout the project.
10- Site Visits: Conducting regular site visits to ensure the project is progressing as planned and to
verify that costs are aligned with actual work done.
