Develop and present comprehensive lesson plans, with a focus on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and creative writing. Incorporate famous exciting thematic units and various current political and business events to encourage class participation, enhance literature skills, and foster a fun, engaging and active learning environment. Adhering to individualized Education Plans of students with special needs and maintaining a focused, interested group of students at all times.
* Implementing varied strategies and differentiated assessments in order to accommodate diverse needs of students who
were transitioning from various academic and professional institutions.
* Effectively maintaining interests and providing interactive atmosphere, enabling students to significantly hone learning
skills.
* Instituting positive classroom management strategies and disciplinary programs that effectively handle challenging behaviour issues.
* Collaborating with fellow teachers and next of kin the take the appropriate action plan in order to propel the student
learning experience, providing extracurricular tutorial and emailing home additional materials

As my pupils are a second language learners, they need to develop academic proficiency in English . As a Teacher of English, I can provide effective instructions for these students by:

Recognizing that second language acquisition is a gradual developmental process and is built on students’ knowledge and skill in their native language;
Providing authentic opportunities to use language in a nonthreatening environment;
Teaching key vocabulary connected with the topic of the lesson;
Teaching academic oral language in the context of various content areas;
Teaching text- and sentence-level grammar in context to help students understand the structure and style of the English language;
Teaching the specific features of language students need to communicate in social as well as academic contexts
