Leading facilities management and admin team of more than 60 staff across all British Council offices and Libraries in Pakistan to ensure smooth business operation and state of the art work environment for more than 400 staff and more than 1000 library members and visitors per day. Ensure administrative support to all departments to help them to achieve their targets and to outreach millions of people in Pakistan through various project each year. Regional lead on environmental framework management for South Asian countries includes, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka have already got more than 5 office got LEED certified buildings. Leading all premises project, Lead office move management plan, Leading work space extension project, developed and implement SOPs for general and office logistics management, ensure updated policy and SoPs are in place for staff and visitors’ accommodation and transportation, visa facilitation, ensure safety and security of all comes under duty of care, Ensure Information Policy should be strictly applied particularly for off-site record keeping in warehouse facility. Managed $10 million budget. Reports to Director Business Support Service, Pakistan.


• Facilities management of all offices, libraries and expat residence across Pakistan with state-of-the-art UK standard and compliance including one of LEED certified building in Lahore
• Budget management with all compliance of more than $10 million without major under/over spend
• Led office move project with record minimum downtime of one working day with saving of more than $ 1 million by reusing old furniture and equipment to meet budget constraints. Coordinated total move of 9 departments and more than 100 employees.
• Regional lead on Global Environment Project for South Asian countries and managed regional team to achieve best rating n the world. Also, developed tool to calculate carbon footprints per full time staff and its related cost. This tool has now been implemented in other countries globally. Also, Pakistan is the 1st country to initiate and complete the Plastic Audit for all offices and libraries in Pakistan.
• Leading premises construction and landscaping projects in Pakistan includes separate budget management to monitor overspent and post construction snags issues. Working closely with UK and local Project Management team to sort out issues with project stakeholders and resolve outstanding issues.
• Developed and implement various scope of work and SoPs for facilities management services, housekeeping services, general administrative function, health and safety and security services.
• Developed extensive Scope of Work for procurement team to hire FM service provider to meet requirements of new office and library
• Developed facility master plan, working closely with all department’s heads. Organized and directed more than $ .5 million in renovation projects.
• Saved $25, 000 annually in energy costs by negotiating energy savings performance contract.
• Managing lease contract with best negotiated terms for more than 25 properties
• Oversee transport management with respective site admin managers and developed SOPs for soft skin and armored vehicles across Pakistan

Led facilities, office move, developed and ensured implementation of various SOPs for smooth delivery of programme, organized number of consortium partners meeting, developed consultant contracts and ensure its delivery as per programme requirements, work closely with Govt. Education Department for planning and its implementation, Ensure adequate and security cleared resources for consultant in the field for project implementation. Implement best IT solution for remote office that became a benchmark for other project office in British Council all over. Also, worked closely with senior advisors for report writing. Line managed 7 staff members and reports directly to Director Programme.

• Managed EURO 32 Million Programme includes EURO 4.5 Million implementation cost
• Developed and implement SOP for workshops and trainings in the field which helps smooth delivery of project
• Reshape office sitting plan to create more desks to cater existing and future requirement, also it helps reducing communication gap between Sr. Advisors and support staff
• With minor modifications, I have integrated IT setup with British Council’s state of the art secured IT system which saves huge cost ($ 1 Million) and eliminate any chance of breach of IT policy include information management and data protection.

Led IT infrastructure and support system in Pakistan, implement SAP system in Karachi, Implement Global Connectivity project in Pakistan, Lead National IT Review in Pakistan, Implement ITIL framework support system in Pakistan, Implement various Tech refresh projects in Pakistan, Negotiated well with international and national vendor to save PKR 150 Million. Awarded outstanding rating 4 out of 5 performance years.

•Successful national lead on IT Review for Pakistan 12-13 liaison with Lahore and Islamabad IT Managers. Provided comprehensive national IT Review report to Audit Action Team. This report helps identified gaps to meet minimum compliance levels set for IT system.
•Successful implementation of IT strategy on business continuity plan for exams department in Karachi to make temporary IT system shift to alternate location in local hotel which enabled exams staff to continue their business at time when we were asked to reduce footprint due to security threats. (Provided 25 exams colleagues to work from outside the office to continue their critical business to avoid reputational and financial damage to British Council)
•National lead on connectivity rollout which was critical part for the success of SAP implementation in Pakistan as existing connectivity at that time had failed all tests before SAP implementation. Coordinating with regional and global IT team and good relationship follow up with local connectivity vendor made it possible to implement required connectivity speed for SAP implementation which was highly appreciated by global, regional and national leadership and was one of deliverables which result in exceptional rating in that performance year
•Helped fraud investigation team by recovering fraud visa letter documents from suspected user electronic storage area which was considered as strong evidence against Council employee
•Successful delivery of Connecting Classrooms Online Project in Pakistan in the year 2009-10 by recruiting 24 schools across different parts of Pakistan. Trained them to exploit ICT to become part of Global School Community. The outcome of this pilot project was overwhelming and it’s now become a long term project for British Council in Pakistan.
•Successful shift of IT and telecom setup in the new building comprising of more than 400 nodes for both Data and Voice
•Successful installation of Video Conferencing Suite. This has become a very popular way of communication which not only saved huge travel cost but also saves staff travel time
