A Proactive team member of finance operation department delivering the quality, transparent and accurate financial report of the organization. Main duties and responsibilities includes the
(1) Proper monitoring of the transactions in each accounts ensuring it is accurate and valid,
(2) Ensuring that all services rendered and goods delivered were properly accounted through accruals, and dynamically communicates with the Finance Business Partner / Business for any long outstanding accruals, to do action accordingly if needed,
(3) Review of Comparative Trial Balance Monthly - analyzing the cost movement of each account and validate and ensuring to report accurately the main reason for the variances of each accounts,
(4) Prepared weekly cash flow, manage the capex budget and its related process’
(5) Actively participating in the month end and year end closing process ensuring that the set timelines is achieved,
(6) Analysis and reporting of expenditures and cash balances of special funded projects,
(7) Managed and ensure that all balance sheet accounts at the end of every month tallied with the supporting schedules,
(8) Liaises with the Auditors during the interim and year-end audit providing the requirement needed,
(9) Coordinates with other Finance Team for any queries related to general ledger balances

Furthermore, Roles are not only limited to the above mentioned, hence participating to the various projects in finance that help to develop strong internal control of the organization. To name a projects participated were:
• Created an Automated broad Timesheet and invoice being used across the organization - which helped to easily validate the correctness of all data entered for each consultants
• Created an excellent presentation of the Delegation of Financial Authority to the Management Level - this is done for every revision of DoFA
• Chart of Accounts Project - eliminated the unused general ledger accounts and provide detailed definition for each accounts,
• Created a various database reports which served as a tool for financial analysis;
• Created various customized templates i.e, business case, revenue collection;
• Provide financial analysis for specific requirement by the management;

City Government Assistant Department Head -Accounting Department at City Government of Panabo

Effectively and successfully managed the daily accounting operation of the city government including the accounting staff, duties and responsibilities were not limited to;
(1) Successful Team Leader in the roll-out and implementation of the e-accounting system in the government accounting office mandated by the Commission on Audit;
(2) Daily review and approval of the Journal entries being posted in the system, ensured transactions were coded to correct account codes, duly obligated and with valid supporting documents;
(3) Designed the month end closing process and ensured that financial reports were submitted timely to the state auditors;
(4) Prepared the monthly financial reports status for all the National Government Trust Funds and Special Projects;
(5) Prepared the monthly financial statements duly submitted to the Commission on Audit in a timely manner;
(6) Analyzed monthly the general and sub ledger of each balance sheet accounts and income and expense accounts ensured that each transactions were accurately accounted to proper accounting codes;
(7) Recorded the issuance of inventories as per Report of Utilization submitted by the General Services Office;
(8) Recorded the completed projects as per the Completion Report submitted by the City Engineering Office.
(9) Liaised with the state auditors, provided the requirements and affirmatively applied the recommendations, if any.
