• Material Integrity & Testing: Acted as the final quality gatekeeper for all incoming materials,
leading a comprehensive verification program for high-pressure pipes, mission-critical fittings,
and specialized valves. This involved cross-referencing MTCs against stringent project
specifications, performing positive material identification (PMI), and validating dimensional
checks to eliminate any possibility of substandard materials entering the construction
workflow. Witnessed and signed off on all critical performance tests, including destructive tests
for PQRs and seat-leakage tests for valves.

• Pressure Vessel Inspection: Ensured the absolute safety and code compliance of critical
pressure vessels by conducting rigorous, multi-stage inspections against ASME SEC VIII DIV I.
Managed the full inspection cycle, including raw material verification, fit-up, in-process welding,
dimensional checks, NDT review, and witnessing the final hydrotest.

• Quality Systems & Documentation: Drove the development of a robust and self-sufficient
quality framework by managing the end-to-end creation, review, and approval of all key project
quality documents. Authored detailed ITPs, corrosion testing procedures, hydro-test plans,
WPS/PQR, and NDE procedures, thereby creating a fully documented and auditable quality
trail that successfully met the clients rigorous standards for work in live oil fields.
• End-to-End Field Inspection: Commanded comprehensive field inspections across all project
phases in a challenging desert environment, from initial material receiving to final weld visual
inspections. Provided the final review and authoritative sign-off on all NDT reports (DPT, UT,
Radiography) after personally performing detailed radiographic film interpretations to
guarantee weld integrity before introducing hydrocarbons into new lines.
• Pressure Vessel & Static Equipment Inspection: Conducted stage-wise inspections for
various static equipment, including pressure vessels, ensuring full compliance with client
specifications and approved ITPs. Key stages included material verification, dimensional
control, weld fit-up, final welding, and test package review.
• Welding Inspection: Performed daily surveillance of all welding activities, including
verification of pre-heat and interpass temperatures, confirmation of correct welding
consumable usage as per the WPS, monitoring welder performance, and conducting final visual
inspection of completed welds prior to NDT.
• Asset Protection via Coating Oversight: Was entrusted with overseeing the entire coating and
painting lifecycle to protect high-value assets. Conducted thorough, multi-stage inspections for
all blasting and three-coat system application processes, vigilantly monitored environmental
conditions to prevent coating failures, and meticulously verified the correct DFT & WFT of all
coating systems.

- Process Piping Inspection (Shutdowns): Led all inspection activities for critical process
piping during high-stakes shutdown events. This included inspection of replacement spools,
golden welds, and flange management for various units, ensuring all work complied with
relevant codes and standards for a safe return to service.

• Pressure Vessel & Equipment Inspection: Performed stage-wise inspection of pressure
vessels and other static equipment during the refinery revamp. Ensured all fabrication, repair,
and modification activities were conducted in accordance with ASME SEC VIII DIV I, from
material verification and layout checks to final inspection and pressure testing.
