SCHEDULE INSPECTION
(1) Work with the Production personnel in integrating the Corrosion Control Document (CCD) recommendations into piping and equipment inspection strategies.
(2) Assist the Production personnel in assessing the potential damage mechanism and carry out peer review on the inspection recommendation.
UNIT SUPPORT
(1) Provide material selection and technical support to assist process engineers, project engineers, production specialists, and others in the MI Department on day-to-day and longer term activities related to metallurgy, welding, fabrication, and corrosion control.
(2) Assist development of equipment inspection strategies following incidents or significant inspection findings.
TURNAROUND/UNIT OUTAGE SUPPORT
(1) Provides input on material and corrosion issues during the scope development stage including repair or alteration plans for pressure vessels.
(2) Support T/A related activity such as scope definition, work scope challenges, deferral analysis, execution, and post T/A analysis.
CORROSION CONTROL DOCUMENT (CCD)
(1) Prepare and maintain unit Corrosion Control Document (CCD).
(2) Using CCDs, establish and update lists of key process variables and communicate to Ensure Safe Production work process to include in unit process variable tables. This includes defining IOW and operational support to manage the IOW.
(3) Assist development of training materials and methods for PEI and CCD knowledge transfer to operations, engineering, maintenance, and inspection personnel.
