I am responsible for driving the strategic growth of the company by focusing on enhancing and expanding our core service offerings. This includes leveraging technical best practices to ensure the highest standards in all aspects of our work. By incorporating innovative digital tools, I help streamline the design processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall client experience. A key part of my role is to develop and implement effective project delivery strategies that align with both client objectives and organisational goals. I ensure that StrucX consistently delivers high-quality, cost-effective solutions that are customised to meet the unique needs of each client, while maintaining a focus on timeliness and budget compliance. In addition to overseeing business growth and service excellence, I am directly involved in the hands-on delivery of a variety of projects. This includes managing project timelines, coordinating teams, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring smooth collaboration across all stakeholders. My goal is to drive successful project outcomes and contribute to the continued success and reputation of StrucX in the marketplace.

The primary responsibility of my role was to help grow company’s business in Europe and other AECOM regions, leading international teams to secure opportunities and deliver major transit programmes. I work closely with the European region sector management team in a matrix role linking circa 1500 Transit sector focused staff across the region.
I was responsible for driving company’s strategic business goals for Transit across international regions. This involves reviewing market data, following investment portfolio by various government agencies, maintaining existing and building new client relationships, creating business plans for growing company’s geographical footprint, and building brand awareness. I am involved in various major transit related pursuits and projects in USA, Australia, UK&I, Nordics and West-ern Europe.

The NEOM Spine Infrastructure consists of three types of transportation systems: High Speed Passenger (HSR), Group Mass Transit (GMT) and Freight, as well as utilities serving the NEOM communities. The project objectives are to provide a comprehensive multi-disciplinary design including, but not limited to; all Structures, MEP, Drainage, FLS, Architecture, Rail systems, Finishes and Security within the NEOM Spine Railway Stations and Lineside Facility footprints. Co-located in NEOM offices in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, I was responsible for the design delivery of multidisciplinary designs to facilitate procurement and construction programme of NEOM. The design team of over 300 people are in multiple offices across various countries.

Responsible as technical leader for conceptual design of intermodal hub connecting Broadway station
at Roosevelt Avenue between the CSX Fremont Secondary freight line and Broadway. The IBX align
ment would use the freight alignment which is in a cut below grade to Roosevelt Avenue. The pro
posed concept involves extensive alterations to the existing steel viaduct and creation of intermodal
transport station connection with below grade LRT, a street level ingress and egress and a connection
at the elevated viaduct level with extended walkways on either side of the steel viaduct.

Key responsibilities of my role involves, capturing and analysing market intelligence, creating market prospecting, carrying out competitor analysis, strategic market planning, portfolio optimisation to develop new work streams, building new Client relationships and maintaining existing ones, developing strategic partnerships with Contractors, end Clients and in some cases business competitors, actively participating in key Tenders in variety of roles as required, leading high stake commercial negotiations etc. I was responsible for the delivery of the budgets for the business and associated KPI’s reporting into Europe division.

Key responsibilities include providing technical advice to projects with teams based across the UK,
Scandinavia and India, leading and supporting large multi-disciplinary tenders. Promoting collaboration across markets and divisions in Scandinavia and overseas Design Centres, encourage technical excellence in collaboration with Professional Heads of Disciplines, facilitate thought leadership, technical best practice, effective project delivery strategy, knowledge sharing, and process standardisation & optimisation across the group, driving innovation in service offerings & ensure adherence to corporate governance and management systems.

D&B Contract with Skanska, I was Responsible as independent checker for assessment of the existing roof over platforms for the proposed alterations to the existing structure. The scheme involved significant demolition of the existing building, in particular the boiler room and other back of house facilities to enable construction of a new steel framed 4 storey structure on new foundations. The station sits on top of a complex network of London underground tunnel network.

I was responsible for the business management of Rail Practice in the Transportation sector. The business consisted of over 200 multidisciplinary team of Architects, MEP, Civil, Structural, OLE, Permanent way Engineers and BIM/AutoCAD technicians providing offshore support to various offices across UK&E, Middle East, North America, and Asia Pacific regions. My responsibilities included the commercial and programme responsibility for all projects delivered from the Practice, maintaining productivity & revenue in line with the agreed annual budgets, ensuring adherence to internal Business Management System, providing input into steering groups at sector level, monthly business reporting, resource planning and allocations, setting recruitment targets, management of P&L account, business development, internal Client account liaison and inter-face management.

Elevated Stations
Responsible as GDC technical lead for the conceptual design of typical elevated stations. The elevated station structure consists of a roof canopy, platforms, concourse, basement, entrances and footbridges. The roof canopy is supported on six concrete plinths at the platform level. The platform viaduct structure is designed as a three span simply supported post- tensioned concrete box girder with deck slab Continuity. The designs are carried out using building information modelling techniques.

The concourse structure consists of a balanced cantilever post tensioned slab that is supported by a central spine beam spanning between concrete columns that transmit the loadings to the piled foundations. The basement structures containing the MEP areas are designed as reinforced concrete retaining walls supported on a raft foundation. The entrance structures and enclosure structures at the platform and concourse levels are designed as steel frames. The footbridges connecting the entrance structures to the concourse level have been designed using Vierendeel girders with a composite slab at the walkway level. Project Value aprox 5bn GBP.

At Grade Stations
Responsible as GDC Technical lead for the conceptual design of At Grade station. The At-Grade station structure consists of mainly of the roof canopy, basements, platform, concourse, entrances and the footbridges. The canopy structure is partly supported on the station structure and on independent plinths/piles. The structure is designed as a moment resisting reinforced concrete frame below the concourse level and steelwork is used above concourse to support the roof and external glazing. The basement is designed as reinforced concrete retaining wall integral with a rafts slab. The platform structure is separated from the concourse structure on either side by pro-vision of movement joints. The platform structure is designed as reinforced box. The entrance structures and enclosure structures at the platform and concourse levels are designed as steel frames. The footbridges connecting the entrance structures to the concourse level have been designed using Vierendeel girders with a composite slab at the walkway level.

Key responsibilities included technical and people management of multidisciplinary team of Architects, Structural Engineers, and AutoCAD technicians. Technical leadership for various Railway and Metro projects ranged from feasibility studies, tender designs, conceptual design, detailed design, and site support. The team size grew from 24 to over 100 in span of around 18 months and delivered some of most complicated projects in various countries.

GDC Technical approver responsible for the temporary works designs for underpinning works for the
redevelopment for Hung Hom metro station. The works underpinning of the existing structure by
provision of jacking frames supported by the new piled foundations. Responsibilities included design management of Global Stability and Construction Sequence Analysis packages for Birmingham Gateway station redevelopment project. I was also involved with the design and checks for various packages ensuring compliance with Network Rail Standards, participating in the Interdisciplinary design checks, liaising with in-house Architects, M&E and Telecommunication Engineers. Provide technical assistance to sub-contractor requests for information, site and buildability issues. I also led the entire design change of concourse, new retail outlets, new steel
façade including design of supporting stainless steel ceiling for the North-East corner. Project Value
aprox 750 mi GBP.

GDC Technical approver responsible for various work packages involving assessment of existing
structures, retail alterations, design of below ground water retention tank, review of contractor sub
mittals and designs, CAT (ii) checks of various work packages, coordination of multidisciplinary de
signs and response to contractors queries. Project Value aprox 700 mi GBP.

Mosque station is a reinforced concrete underground box 281 x 37m with typical grid spacing of 12.5m x 18.5m. The roof, concourse and the intermediate level slabs are designed to be integral with the reinforced concrete retaining walls with a central line of columns. The entire station is founded on a raft slab with cut and cover method for tunnelling works. The station is accessible via above ground entrance structures. The proposed construction method is bottom up with provision of temporary works during the construction stage.

Hermain Interchange Station is a reinforced concrete underground box 345 x 37m with typical grid spacing of 12.5m x 18.5m. The overall depth of the station is approximately 40m below the proposed ground level. The station supports two levels of railway, three levels of car parking, and an integral underpass bridge supporting the boulevard. The station is accessible via 4 above ground entrance structures. All slabs are designed to be integral with the reinforced concrete retaining walls and a central line of columns.

Responsibilities included design management of Global Stability and Construction Sequence Analysis packages for Birmingham Gateway station redevelopment project. I was also involved with the design and checks for various packages ensuring compliance with Network Rail Standards, participating in the Interdisciplinary design checks, liaising with in-house Architects, M&E and Telecommunication Engineers. Birmingham Gateway station redevelopment project

This project involved complete redevelopment of the entire station building, with introduction of new grand shopping central and retail outlets, new facilities, a grand atrium and a new multi-story car parking, whilst the station remained operational. The project was executed using many novel design approaches and has received many awards globally.

I was responsible for reviewing and approving 3rd party designs for permanent and temporary works ensuring compliance with the Network Rail standards and Engineering Management Plan. Part of my responsibilities was to regularly interface with external engineering consultants, contractors, scheme project managers, construction managers and planners to discuss technical issues and provide technical assistance throughout the execution of the works. My other responsibilities included carrying out site visits to check compliance of works with the approved designs. I was also responsible for the management of various design packages working with the Principal Contractor, sub-Contractors, and designers in the development of design and engineering specifications, coordination of multidisciplinary designs, project team management, interface management, and management of Network Rail’s GRIP processes for various projects.

I joined as a graduate and moved up as structural Engineer where I was responsible for the de-livery of projects from early conceptual design stage to detailed design phase, providing technical assistance throughout the execution of projects, and including multidisciplinary coordination. I was also responsible for training and mentoring of junior members of the staff. I was also assisting the senior partner of JNP Group with business development of the company. I have assisted in tendering for multimillion-pound water retaining structure project in Kashmir. Some of the projects I have worked on are summarised as below: -

Responsible for production of Form A & B’s, structural calculations, drawings, and detailing, which included designing retaining walls, portal frames, structural steelwork, reinforced concrete structures, foundation design and design of masonry elements.

I was appointed as a visiting Lecturer at Coventry University, responsible to deliver the design of steel structures tutorials to second year Civil and Structural Engineering students to Euro-Codes. I successfully finished the syllabus which included design steelwork in simple construction, overall stability aspects of structures by provision of cross bracing, moment resisting frames or reinforced concrete cores.

Working as a Site Engineer for the main Contractor on a residential development, I was responsible for setting out of various developments. My day-to-day responsibilities included setting out of roads, steelwork, drainage, checking rebar, levelling, providing reduced and dig level for foundations et al. I have used surveying equipment’s such as total station, dumpy level, rotating level and other surveying tools to carry out above tasks. My other responsibilities included liaison with the designers, site agents, site managers and project managers, general site supervision and quality control.

While pursuing my Master of Science degree from Coventry University, I was employed by the University for conducting AutoCAD tutorials for under-graduate students.

Involved in carrying out design for various structural elements, preparing rebar schedules and carrying out site visits under the supervision of senior Engineer.

As part of the industrial placement, I joined IBC and was involved in preparing the project report of a multi-storey hospital building where I gained experience in design, engineering, estimation and costing of a multi-storey reinforced concrete structure.
