1. TCP/IP OFFLOAD - This controller chip is basically intended for hardwire
implementation of TCP/IP Protocol so that Host CPU performance system bandwidth and
scalability are greatly improved. Currently TCP/IP is a software protocol that consumes
almost all the host CPU cycles, leaving little resources for application processing. I have also
prepared the necessary technical documents for the project.
2. PCI-SCSI INTERFACE CONTROLLER (TC 9892) - PCI-SCSI controller chip
basically provides connections for SCSI devices like high capacity hard disks and CD ROMs
through PCI. Project includes mainly upgrading SPI3 design to the SPI4 with the entire new
feature added for SPI4 (SCSI Parallel Interface 4) and is complained with PCI 2.2 spec. I have
written microcontroller firmware for SCSI in target mode. The basic function was
implemented. I have tested the SPI4 PCI card in DOS mode and also wrote device driver for
the card in Windows 2000. I have also prepared technical documents for the project.
3. USB SCSI - I have written firmware for various control transfers in USB SCSI controller
to detect both High speed and Full speed device. The various standard requests like Get
Descriptor (Device, Interface, Configuration and Endpoint), Get Configuration, Clear Feature,
Set Address, Get Interface, Get Status, Set Configuration, Set Descriptor and Set Interface
were written. I have also prepared the necessary technical documents for the project.

•Temperature Transmitter - developing a complete TT product using AD7714 (ADC), AD421 (4 to 20 mA DAC), AD595 (Instrumentation Amplifier with Cold junction Compensation) and 8051. Temperature is measured using a Thermocouple. Thermocouple output is given as input to AD595. For every 1°c change in temperature, AD595 output changes by 10mV. This is given as input to AD7714. Digital equivalent of temperature is given to 8051 for linearity testing and sampling. Sampled value is once again converted to analog signal using AD421 and transmitted to the control room as 4 to 20 mA signal for various operations.

•Design of Internet Connectivity Module - Design a module to allow various systems and equipments to access the Internet. Complete TCP/IP protocol stack is implemented.

•UNIVERSAL PROGRAMMER - 8051 based device used to program memory device such as NVRAM, EPROM, EEPROM, Serial EPROM, PIC Controllers and FLASH Microcontrollers. It is a versatile programmer, since 8255 interfaces the programmer board to the microcontroller.

•HARMONIC ANALYSER - involves developing a complete harmonic analyzer product using ADSP218x. This product will measure the harmonic content of any waveform with measurement and display of the amplitude of the harmonics up to 50th harmonic. The project covers various electrical algorithms and displays the waveform along with harmonic content through a PC.

•IMPLEMENTATION OF A HOME CONTROL SYSTEM - using Windows CE 3.0. Home Control System includes various sub systems like Intruder alarm system, Fire alarm system, Air-conditioning and Heating system, Lighting and Home Appliance Monitoring system, all of which converge to evolve a SMART HOME. The device runs on a 236 Intel processor with motherboard with add-on PCI cards for interfacing various sensors. Device is fully automated.

•POWER METER - using ADUC812. This product will measure various standard power units & display results on LEDs.

•Microcontroller Based Weighing And Cashing - Integrates weighting and cashing into a single process. The technique involves weight measurement by means of a load cell arrangement (using strain gauge) and based on the object code and corresponding unit price in the database. Price corresponding to the weight is computed and displayed.

•FIREWIRE - Chip consist of 3 major components: Physical layer, link layer and controller. Physical Layer controls arbitration, data encoding decoding and creates interface with link layer. Link Layer does functionality like data corruption checking and correction. FIFO controller interfaces with upper layers. It controls flow with help of protocol standard through a firmware.
