Part of a three member team responsible for project estimations helping securing tenders and clinch electrical projects for residential and commercial high rise buildings
•Study/review of tender documents for scope of work, drawings, Bill of Quantity (BOQ), specifications and clients requirements for correct estimation
•Prepare technical queries for ambiguities (in drawings, specifications, BOQ) and liaise with supplier/sub-contractor to obtain quotation and clarify to all their queries in time
•Prepare material pricing and labour cost of each BOQ item, BOQ unit prices as per tender BOQ format and price comparison sheet for each system and final cost summary
•Check for and cover addendums & communications from client, and prepare qualifications, assumptions, exclusions and tender adjustment schedule with unit prices
•Prepare price analysis, proposed vendor list, data sheet, qualifications, value engineering and a detailed final quotation to the main contractor
•Involved in the implementation and maintenance of Quality management system for estimation as well as attending meetings/training organized by management
Switching
•As Substation in-charge (Transmission), entrusted with the highly responsible role of managing all actions/decisions related to the 66/11 KV substation operations and control
•Manage permit to work on Transformers, 66 kV power lines, 66 kV equipment’s, 66 kV and 11kV Bus; test Charging of feeders while tripping and ensures continuity of supply
•Check for operating conditions of each equipment (trip circuits, oil levels, temperature, gas pressure etc.) and ensure they are within safe limits
•Update substation operations and readings in operator’s diary & interruption/abnormality registers and prepare Log sheets, Single Line diagrams and Monthly operating review
•Monitor substation yard and power equipment properly and take measures to rectify problems and report any abnormalities; also calculate daily/monthly consumption
KEY CONTRIBUTIONS
•Manage feeders to enable Line Engineers to handle works on the lines - complete charge of safety of Line Engineers as well as power equipment
•Meticulously track and monitor fine/minor changes in vibration noise in feeder lines, tripping in transformers and problems in control panels
•During the event of fuming and erratic vibration noise from control panel, intervened and took timely action proactively thus avoiding an untoward incidents
