MEP Manager, Directly Reporting to MD
Review project documents (specs and manuals), MEP systems design in relation to ID fit out job for technical feasibility and provide feedback to project team and client regarding construct ability issues,
value engineering, filling the gaps for scope of works.
Generation of MEP drawings review report / comments that indicate construct ability issues, value engineering, incomplete scope of work and dimensional problems to ensure timely correction and early detection of any potential issues.
Provide advice and insight into estimating budgets ensuring all MEP components are included and price estimates are accurate and realistic to the estimation team quoting new jobs.
Perform timely site inspections and quality tests, suggest improvements, and immediately inform construction team of problems in order to correct/repair site deficiencies without impacting cost/schedule and ensure MEP systems are operating as intended prior to occupancy by Owner/Client.
Coordinate directly with MEP sub-contractors for successful completion of project fulfilling project requirements and scheduling of functional performance testing of equipment and systems. (integrating testing procedure into the project schedule).
Liaise with the consultant for Approval of DC1 & DC2 new and changes in the existing project for local authorities ( Municipality/Kahramaa/QCDD/ASGHAL etc.) and also getting approval from local authority for completed projects.
Looking after the Company MEP maintenance team of about 22 Nos, engineers, supervisors and technicians for the maintenance of Hotel & resorts, Marble factory, Furniture Factory, Ware Houses ( 2 Nos.) Staffs Accommodation ( 10 Nos) and Labour Camps ( 8 Nos.) owned by Classical Palace.

MEP Design Manager
Job Profile:
Ensure management of the MEP design process in accordance with company policy, procedures and the Design Management Plan
Develop the MEP Project design brief (concept) and maintain by regular review, update and sign-off with the Client.
Ensure that the Project is adequately resourced to meet all performance criteria. Advise on company Design Management resource requirements in organising and assisting in their selection.
Manage the MEP design including all inputs, coordination and deliverable to achieve the time, cost, and quality objectives.
Achieve progressive approval from relevant authorities at appropriate stages including close liaison with the appropriate consultant.
Set-up, monitor & manage the design program including integration with the Project construction and Procurement main program.
Support the Contract Manager (D&C) to ensure that the design intent and design performance criteria are maintained through the design development and construction process.
Ensure a traceable record is maintained of all key design decisions including justification and approvals.
Identify and promptly initiate corrective actions necessary to ensure that the Project objectives will be met.
Ensure compliance of Local & International design codes in MEP design work - NFPA, ASHRAE, IPC, KAHRAMAA, BS, EN, IEC, ASGHAL, QCDD & QCS.
