Monitors Implementation of the approved annual safety programmed and maintaining the quality of work at working site environments with regards to the health and safety policy. Promotes awareness of site personnel to safety. Investigates industrial incidents / accidents and writes related statistical and analytical reports. (Work covers safety of personnel and company’s property in area of responsibility).

Job Description:
To ensure adherence to company's established safety rules, standard and codes of practice. Monitors
Implementation of the approved annual safety programmed and maintaining the quality of work at working
site environments with regards to the health and safety policy. Promotes awareness of site personnel to
safety. Investigates industrial incidents / accidents and writes related statistical and analytical reports.
(Work covers safety of personnel and company’s property in area of responsibility).
Current Duties & Responsibilities:
* To provide HSE induction to the new QS employees and contractors as well other HSE related
trainings.
* To provide support and advice on all aspects of health, safety and environment. To provide
proactive approached with all the employees to establish and maintain safe system of work and
safe working environment.
* Report major problems/unsafe conditions or act and areas of non-compliance to senior
management in order to ensure that high level of HSE performance is maintained and issues
are resolved in a timely manner.
* To carry out regular inspection in order to monitor compliance with HSE procedures and
standards and identify potential risks and hazards, taking or recommending corrective action
as appropriate.
* Attend department meetings as necessary when invited and when raising an important concern
on safety.
* Assist the department in formulating safety criteria for contractor’s selection and bid
evaluation with regards to safety related matters.
* Attend department kick-off meeting together with the contractor’s representatives and advice
the team with regards the following safety requirement that needs to be verified like method
of statement, JSA, Lifting plan, third party certificate etc.
* Carry out regular inspection safety patrols, PTW audit in order to monitor compliance with HSE
procedures and standards and identify potential risks and hazards, taking or recommending
corrective action as appropriate.
* Coordinate focal personnel as per section wise in the SCL & CWH Dept. and discussed whatever
safety related matters.
* Communicate effectively with both other Qatar Steel Department and with external agencies
in order to smooth provision of HSE services.
* Reviewed ERP and assigned all observation which raised from the individual concerned to the
respective department personnel.

* Site inspection and monitoring of the areas visited. Observations found were discussed directly
to the personnel, noted observations were uploaded in the ERP Reporting System.
* HSE coverage during holiday and week days.
* Review new introduced energized authorization form from HSE aspects and sign the energized
form. Daily as per recommended/requested by department maintenance.
* Make reports and transfer all noted observation to the report format for shift report. During
Afternoon and Night shift scheduled.
* Issuing permit as per recommended and advised by HSE Engr. Sometimes especially during
second shift.
* Conducted safety audit as per schedule provided by HSE Engr. As per monthly schedule
recommended by HSE Engr.
* Conducted PTW training to the contractors. Sometimes as per advised and schedule of HSE
Engr.
* Attended safety walked. (HSE Walk, Department Walk, Section head Walk & Management
walk). As per department schedule weekly, monthly and daily.
* Reviewed HIRA and follow SOP at the site if it is implemented well. Monthly and during safety
audit
* Reviewed MOS & JSA from the contractor and revert back to the concerned department for
revision and final approval. Every new activity in the concerned department section & area's.
* Prepared safety moment and share during weekly HSE meeting.
* Coordinate all important message that came from the top management which was share and
advised from HSE Engr. To the concerned department.
