• Major role is to implement & maintain the project in Hazardous & non-hazardous zones within the stipulated time period.
• Responsibility includes design review, analysis of projects, preparation of documents for approval of the local authorities and quality control.
• Installation, commissioning of MV Transformers, MV cables and distributing the power supply
• Planning and installing FO cable upto 72 core, mapping the each core as per the APC splicing schedule
• Carry out the installation & commissioning of SHELTERS, SERVER racks, UPS with BATTERY BANKS, GENERATORS, MDB, SWB, etc.
• Installation of Transformers, Generators, SWB, UPS, etc
• Having good relation and maintaining with operating companies and carry out the power cable connection to the operating company MSWG & DB’s. Installation/connection done in Hazardous areas (like CPP, CLUSTERS, etc.)
• Carry out the work according to the Hazardous & non-Hazardous standards and follow operating company standards & Abu Dhabi standards.
• Carry out the installation & commissioning of Sensor lines, Smart fence control JB, Access control JBs and do the connections.
• Carry out preliminary and commissioning tests as per the ATP process for all the installations
• Successfully implementing the Earthing systems and making reports for each pit and GRID systems.
• Review, comment on scope of work & BOQ quantities against AFC drawing with managers.
• Plan, direct & control the project progress of electrical & sensor equipment installations, commissioning, etc.
• Review and comment on our plan, MS and TRA according to the AFC & operating company standards.
• Coordinating with Clients, Managers, Logistics, etc. for the smooth operations.
• Responsible for installation and commissioning of Electrical systems like Generator, MDB, SWB, UPS with Battery banks, Power panels, Cabling of Power & Optical fiber, lightings, pumps, etc.
• Supervising / coordinating for excavation, trenching for direct & indirect buried cables, etc.
• Carrying out the testing of installations & doing ATP for power cable & Glanding installations, terminations, etc.
• Successfully done all the works WITH NO SAFETY ISSUES while working in ADCO SUB-STN, CLUSTER MSWG & DB
• Providing data for invoice on monthly basis as per site progress/production with comparison of BOQ quantities
Responsibilities related to the Electrical systems
• Headed a utility team of 5 members pertaining for operation & maintenance (24x7) of following electrical equipments, I & C, operation, maintenance & troubleshooting of following electrical equipment.
• Preparing and maintaining the CAPEX and OPEX for each quarter of the respective financial year.
• Played as a maintenance planner for monthly, half yearly and yearly schedules.
• Maintaining the system records logs, etc. as per ISO 9000:2001 standards.
• Partly responsible with manager for ISO internal as well as external audits.
• Installing, testing & commissioning of DC power plant (-48volts, up to 1200Amps) including battery banks (up to 2550AH & -48volts.)
• Overseeing the operation & maintenance of UPS systems including battery banks (DB power & Emerson make, upto 2x60KVA, 3phase).
• Planning the distribution of A.C, UPS & D.C supplies from transformer to till individual load with alternate sources, for infrastructure like DATA centre, Mobile switching centre and office areas and update the AutoCAD drawings.
• Selecting electrical equipments DC power plants, UPS, Air-conditioner, etc. (includes MCCB, MCB, and Cables for DC & AC).
• Supervising installation and commissioning of PCC, Air-conditioners, Fire fighting system, etc.
• Ensuring the maintenance of Transformer - 1250kVA, 11/4.4kV, carrying out the yearly oil filtration & preventive maintenance through the vendors.
Responsibilities related to the Telecom systems
• 100% Responsible for telecom transmission issues and maintaining / updating the data to the Switch team.
• Troubleshooting E1 transmission issues, changing the physical route, updating the master file.
• Coordinating with other mobile network operators for transmission issues and fixing it
• Responsible for EPABX day to day changes, trouble shooting, maintaining the data of internal telephone lines
• Responsible and get it rectified the issues with Tele-lines like direct line, lease line, ISDN lines, PRI lines, etc.
• Identifying & planning the future requirements and make sure the transmission route is ready like FDF, DDF, MDF, etc. for Optical routes, E1 routes and internal telephone routes.
• Laying & terminating cables upto 350sq.mm Al for A.C supply and 240sq.mm Cu single core for DC supply.
• Managing the Operation & Maintenance of Building Management System like CCTV, Fire fighting, Smoke detection, Access control system.
Installation and maintenance of power panels, motors, starters, lightings, etc.
* Diploma in Electrical Engineering from Govt. Polytechnic, University of PUNE, INDIA in 2006 (1st rank among the class with 71%) * ITI - Electrician from Sri Amman ITI, Salem, Tamil Nadu in 1996. (2nd rank among 40 students with 81%)
