• Design, Detail and Develop products for mass production using skills and technical
Knowledge. Undertake liaison between Engineering, Customers and Suppliers for
drawing review, Engineering Changes, participate in technical review board (TRB)
and Configuration Control Board (CCB), Technical Data Package (TDP), specification reviews, technical / commercial issues, supplier questions etc
• Challenge existing design practices and develop innovative solutions for various
components such as machined parts (turning, milling, CNC, heat treatment, coating), laser cut parts, bended sheet metal parts, locking mechanisms, load carriers, welded sub-assemblies, mounting brackets, bolt-on structures, stamped sheet metal components, HVAC hose routing, HVAC evaporator integration on the cabin
• Chassis system interface, vehicle level integration, Military systems integrations,
protection covers, conceptual design proposals, specifications, mass model
calculation, prepare RFQs, project planning using MS-project, project monitoring,
status reports and regular production support.
• Oversee prototype build to verify concept product. Line up resources, investigate
manufacturing issue and make decisions on changes
• Interpret FEA inputs/outputs, Provide detailed designs and associated 3D and 2D
documentation using CATIA
• Project Management: Ensuring timely planning, development and execution of design reviews to support product manufacturability, starting from project plan, budget, specifications, monitoring & control.
