• Manage all aspects of financial reporting, consolidation, preparation and analysis of consolidated financial statements for the Group and its subsidiaries in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Create detailed financial statements analysis on a quarterly basis for Senior Management’s review.
• Evaluate Group’s annual 5-year long-range plan, forecast, and ensure it is in line with industry expectation and economic outlook.
• Assist internal and external auditors on audits and answer any queries regarding financial statements of the Firm.

• Participate in ad hoc and special projects as required such as annual Goodwill impairment testing
• Manage team of 4 people in the Financial reporting department (assign tasks, provide feedback and monitor their work)
• Key achievements:
o Managed & developed successful forecasts, budgets & Goals resulting in variances being less than 3% to actual
o Performed a detailed analysis on the impact of adopting the new IFRS 15 (Revenue from contracts) and IFRS 16 (leases) in to the company’s reporting system, which significantly improved the company’s reporting system.
• Appointed as an auditor on various listed, local as well as large owner-managed businesses across industry segments including Energy, Natural Resources, Consumer and Industrial Markets as well as Financial Services;
• Conducted audit engagements in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP standards
• Identified control deficiencies, performed substantive procedures on various audit areas, including a detailed analytical review, and assisted in the preparation of financial statements
• Coordinated with team members to meet stringent deadlines without compromising on quality or standards of professional work
• Was able to obtain one of the highest performance assessment ratings amongst auditors for 3 consecutive years in Dubai.
• Key achievements:
o Received an appreciation letter from three of my client’s finance manager as a result of building a strong relationship with them and they have specific requested for me to lead the audit team in next year’s audit.
o Generated AED 25, 000 revenue for the firm by referring and signing my client’s key accounting personal to EY training courses on Corporate Governance and business.
• Managed to secure a secondment to London through a competitive application process where only a limited number of high performing individuals were offered the role
• Performed the audit of a public multi-national Oil and Gas firm in compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) legislation
• Executed the design reviews and test plans in a timely manner
• Documented work as per established practices and SOX standards
• Prepared detailed findings for review with appropriate management personnel
• Submitted on time status reports to compliance executives
• Communicated SOX testing results to the appropriate authority
