Responsible for the Global Data Centers (UK, India, UAE,
Jordan, Singapore, SouthAfrica) Infrastructure such as
servers, storages, switches and maintain the best availability,
security and performance of the company critical
applications.
Ensuring migration into and cost-effective and highly
automated operation (incl. monitoring) of IaaS
(Infrastructure as a Service) and/or PaaS (Platform as a
Service) and/or infrastructure components, given the
defined service levels while using state of the art methods
to proactively prevent or at least to minimize vulnerabilities
and potential breaches.
Oversee and manage all global projects related to Cloud
Infrastructure and/or infrastructure components.
Building and maintaining vendor relationships including the
purchase contracts for hardware and software products.
Evaluate, recommend & steer providers and technologies for
the operation of Cloud Infrastructure, and/or infrastructure
components.
Responsible for development and operation of aramex core
business application (CI/CD)
Playing a role in Business Continuity by delivering and
managing distributed, highly available, dynamically scalable,
resilient, low-latency platforms with a global footprint.
Set the standards for servers, storage, network, desktops
and laptops with the trusted vendors.
Highlight any risk(s) in relation to data abuse, and/or
information leakage that may negatively impact company
image, brand or customer and ensure gaps are closed in a
timely manner.
Responsible for creating, communicating and supporting
enterprise-wide virtualization and storage platform
technology - existing and new branches.
Participating in advancing IT infrastructure architecture in
support of business, IT strategy and roadmaps to ensure
architecture goals are met.
Provide support to the Regional IT Manager team in the
virtual infrastructure, storage sizing and consolidations
opportunities.
Achieve prospects of technical recommendation to develop
a business need on VMware infrastructure with other 3rd
party applications
SAN implementation and configuration with VMware -
vSphere
Present new upgrades, technologies features and benefits
to Managers and Director Level prospects as well as Systems
Managers and Administrators.
Developing and Implementing proof-of-concepts if needed
Make recommendations on purchasing new equipments,
services and work with various vendors within the
procurement team
