Handles East Africa service with average 150 to 200 export containers from ESL export bookings.
Also handles other vessels to Asian ports in the absence of the Customer Service Manager.
Coordinates and act as an intermediary between clients and lines to ensure quality service and liaise with internal department in a spirit of teamwork to ensure a smooth and efficient service / coordination in terms of sea export shipment: monitoring vessel schedules / assistance in acquiring dangerous cargo approval / prepare and submit final booking and load list / switch Bill of Lading service.
Attend clients’ inquiries: Freight Charges, vessel schedules, import/export services, shipment status and documents status.
Plan and finalize loading list to the operations department.
Prepares export Bill of Lading and Switch Bill of lading.
Provides container release / acceptance order to clients.
Provide sailing reports and weekly equipment projection reports to the logistics manager
Acts as assistant to the CS / Documentation Managers
Assistance to the sales team in maintaining rate records and ocean freight quotations to clients.
Perform other duties as assigned
Handled exports to various African countries.
Attend and screen phone calls for the company.
Efficiency in filling / documentation system to facilitate easy and quick retrieval i.e. designate appropriate files according to parties or issues involved.
Attend customers’ inquiry and provide shipment status.
Assist in sea export operations: handling customers’ container booking, container booking to shipping lines and give summary of container shipments to the company branch offices depending on the shipment port of destinations and passing export declarations.
Handle sea freight documentations: preparing Bill of Lading instructions, cross checking and approval of BL drafts and dispatching of documents.
Preparing of House Bill of Ladings for Less Container Loading shipments.
Shipment invoicing and dispatching of Original Bill of Ladings to branch offices.
