PP Plant Extruder: Make and Model JSW-CMP308
Duties and responsibilities:
Removal cleaning and inspection of extruder twin screw.
Overhauling of gear reducer replaced all radial and thrust bearings.
Ensuring proper fitting / clearances and alignment, checking and verify
gear mesh and gear backlash as per OEM recommendations.
LDPE Plant Extruder: Make and Model Berstorff- KE600X12D
Replacement of extruder screw and polymer screen.
Cleaning and inspection of die holder and die plate.
Overhauling of gear reducer replaced hollow shaft, all radial and thrust
bearings.
Overhauling of granulator, replaced bearings and shaft seals of cutter
rotor.
Ensuring proper fitting / clearances and alignment, checking and verify
gear mesh and gear backlash as per OEM recommendations.

Scheduling and deploying technicians and subcontractors for planned maintenance activities, prioritizing and
expediting breakdown maintenance and plant start up, minimizing production downtime.
Conducting toolbox meetings and conversing occupational and process safety topics. Good knowledge and
experience in work with other nationalities.
Leading plant shutdown and T/A activities equipments include 8 Nos. of JSW Twin-screw Extruder Model: TEX-
140-α 17.5 BW and Rieter Pelletizer system, bucket elevators, root blowers, agitators, rotary feeders,
centrifugal and reciprocating pumps etc., assist operation team for a smooth startup rated throughput and on-
spec production.
Raising applicable Permit to Work (PTW) with relevant job safety analysis, conducting a risk assessment as and
when required.
Succeeded in enabling and implementing planned and unplanned emergency maintenance activities, optimized
downtime by the prompt response and teamwork.
Ensuring all maintenance activities are carried out with safety and quality within the scheduled time frame,
adopting best maintenance practices, and complying with SOPs & SMPs.
Manage multiple priorities in an emergency work environment utilizing optimum resources.
Maintenance cost saved by optimized use of spare parts, resources and other services, repairing and re-using
equipment components.
Checking and ensuring maintenance checklists are adequately completed and available for reference.
Complying with SAUDIKAYAN Operations Management System & Safety Health and Environmental Standards.
Good knowledge and understanding of SHEQ policies and standards
Inspecting equipment components, checking clearance and other deteriorations against OEM values, identifying
and requesting spare parts as required.
Participating in scheduled training and department SHE meetings, updating department KPIs.
Participating in planning, scheduling, and updating service requirements.
Training nationals, motivating a successful and resourceful team.
Conducting safety walkthroughs, reporting unsafe conditions and significant faults or deterioration that may
affect the safety environment or operational efficiency of the equipment
Recording maintenance history and confirming work orders in the SAP system
Leading maintenance activities such as preventive/corrective and troubleshooting of rotary and stationary
equipments as per execution schedule.
Visiting job sites with permit issuer, raising applicable Permit to Work with relevant job safety analysis.
Ensuring extensive use of personal protective equipment and Special PPE as required.
Directing and supervising Maintenance technicians, and sub contractors.
Leading overhauling of multistage gas compressor with JSW service engineer.
Ensuring optimum utilization of resources and spare parts.
Liaise with plant operation team, maintenance planner and technical team for establishing day-to-day plant
maintenance activities.
Participating in planning, scheduling and execution of shutdown, Turnaround and major equipment
overhauling.
Preparing list of spares, tools resources and services required for the maintenance job.
Ensuring proper alignment & soft foot of rotating equipment, using OPTALIGN plus.
Assists maintenance team in establishing priorities, making improvements on work methods.
Reports any significant faults or deterioration that may affect the safety and/or operational efficiency of the
equipment.
Recording maintenance history and confirming work orders in the SAP system.
THERMAX (Various Water Treatment projects in India)
Carryout preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting of rotating equipment in SADAF C/A EDC
and Cl2 units.
Coordinate with plant operation, maintenance planner, and rotating equipment inspection team for
establishing daily maintenance activities.
Raising applicable permit to work (PTW) with relevant job safety analysis.
Ensuring proper isolation and decontamination of equipment, applying Lock-Out and Tag-Out.
Ensuring proper alignment and fixing soft foot of rotating equipment, using reverse dial indicator method.
Worked in central maintenance workshop, duties include major overhauling of Cl2 compressors, turbines,
gearboxes, Salt slurry pumps, Cl2 pumps, blowers, centrifuges, fluid couplings and hydraulic motors etc.
Liaise with rotating equipment inspectors and engineers for repair recommendations.
Scheduling technicians, and placing orders for spare parts, using CMMS (Mainframe) and SABIC supply
management organization (by SAP system).
Maintain checklists and records of equipment repaired or overhauled in the central workshop.
Worked with SADAF rotating inspection team in overhauling of 41, 764 kW turbine and its cascaded six stages
crack gas compressor; 33, 990 kW propane compressor, 5423 kW ethylene compressor and associated systems.
Inspecting proper installation and fittings of diaphragms, labyrinths, rotating elements, radial bearings, thrust
bearings, mechanical seals, etc. checking run-outs & meets clearances as per OEM requirements, checking pipe
stress, soft foot and alignment using Optalign Plus.
Carry out installation and commissioning of raw water treatment, demineralization & water softening plants.
Installation and alignment of various pressure vessels, pumps, blowers, compressors, agitators, clarifiers, etc.
Carryout shaft alignment (reverse / rim face) of various types of rotating equipments.
