Acted as an assistant to the Project Manager and a focal point of contact with contractors/Managing Engineers/Consultants on matters related to the management/ implementation of the project. Ensured adherence to the Company's safety standards and procedures by all personnel/contractors engaged in project site activities during the FEED.
•Developed scope of work for contractors managed by the project management Team such as TPA, ITP, and IPA etc. and ensured proper alignment between the various contractors and timely delivery of their scope.
•Managed technical aspects of contractor/consultant designs ensuring compliance in application of appropriate Engineering Standards, Codes of Practice, and Specifications.
•Managed the procurement of materials/equipment required to be implement.
•Developed staffing plan for PMT and PMC team members though out the Define, EXECUTE and CONSTRUCION. Participated in the finalization of the Provisional sum estimate required.
•Managed & controlled changes to the Project scope as per the Management of Change Procedures, assessed and managed risk introduced by each change.
•Managed contractor’s claims in liaison with concerned Teams/Departments, recommended claims settlements for further approval in line with the established Company procedures and project scope of work.
•Managed the development/review of HSE requirements including HSE plans, QRA’s, HAZID’s/ HAZOP’s.
•Managed the SELECT stage deliverables review during the project hand over to the FEED PMT team. Participated in qualification of FEED consultants and EPC contractors in liaison with DED, ID, HSED, and CD etc.
•Managed Risk Identification and Assessment studies such as PHSER’s, HAZOP’s, etc., and follow up with implementation.
•Managed safety programmers including adhering to and implementing approved safety regulations/ programs within ADMA.
Managed contractors, consultants and vendors engaged in providing services associated with project, review and approve project schedules.
•Participated in the review and Finalization of FEED ITT. Participated in technical clarification and technical bids review.
•Assured the FEED scope and ensured clarity of Statement of Requirement, Project Boundaries, and Project risks in schedule, cost.
•Reviewed project documents and submittals, liaised it including engineering packages, tender documents, contractors’ and suppliers’ bids, procedures etc.
•Managed site visits with consultants/contractors and ensured the site visit report is discussed/ endorsed by the site authority.
•Managed the long lead items (LLI’S) and ensured they were properly and timely managed through the FEED consultant.
•Liaised with Operations through Asset Engineering Support Team on relevant philosophies such as OM&I philosophy and OM&I interfaces etc.
•Provided technical definition and estimates in liaison with engineering disciplines and Planning & Cost Team in support of budgeting exercises.
•Controlled the efficient and cost-effective use of financial, human and other resources assigned to the project. Controlled costs and progress for the project.
•Assisted the project manager in finalization of project budgets and phasing of expenditure and arranged for budget amendments as necessary.
•Ensured in case of scope changes that the relevant contracts are amended in accordance to company procedures and that the necessary funds are made available.
•Managed payments and variations to contractors/PMC Consultants/managing engineers. Issued variations/change orders.
•Participated in the development of project contracting strategy in liaison with the project manager.
•Reviewed work programs prepared by contractors, and comments as necessary to ensure that the contractors are in line with the task & plan.
•Carried out various audits such as quality, HSE etc. ensured that the job is delivered to the company highest HSE and Quality level. Ensured proper and timely closure of all actions identified.
•Managed the consultant, contractors, specialist job performance to the company hugest quality by following the company quality philosophies, procedures. Defined and managed quality plan requirements as part of project implementation strategy.
•Ensured that shutdown requirements are clearly communicated to all relevant parties for better alignment. Ensured upstream and downstream parties that affect or get affected by the projects were aligned. Participated in the preparation of FEED Decision Support Package (DSP).
•Participated in the assessment and evaluation of the performance of contractors and consultants following the completion of services and prepared close-out reports and recommendations for Management reviews. Upon completion of the project, prepared ‘lessons learned’.
•Trained and supervised UAE Nationals assigned to the Project Team. Managed the appraisal and identification of training requirements for the project team members.
•Performed other related duties as assigned by Project Manager such as producing weekly/monthly progress reports emphasizing problems encountered, produced quarterly reports on safety performance, reviewed contractors pre-qualification documents for bidding purposes and participated in task forces to study/investigate certain issues,
•Reviewed manpower requirements. Participated in benchmarking exercise IPA.
•Worked in line with HSE policy, and ensured awareness and compliance of HSE rules and regulations by subordinates.
