NICNET is a project to provide Network connectivity to DC offices, Post offices, Court, Police
Station of Jharkhand state government. Also providing Data & video conferencing facilities to government officer. We are using Cisco ASR 1002, 2800 series Router & Cisco 2950, 2960 Switch
Fiber of 12 and 24 Core and Cat 6 as UTP cable is Used here.
➢ Network Monitoring, Operation, Maintenance, Supervision & Troubleshooting of WAN & LAN.
➢ Configuring router (2800, ASR 1002) series and Routing Protocol (OSPF).
➢ Configuring Cisco catalyst switch (2900 Series), Switch Port Security, VLAN & QOS.
➢ Configuring Planning & scheduling site activity to minimise down time of network.
➢ Installation & configuration of Trend Micro Office Scan Antivirus and VPN networks.
➢ Managing Video Conferencing through Lease line & Vsat.
➢ Managing 34 mbps lease line of B.S.N.L & RailTel ISP.
➢ Liaisining with Vendors regarding IT products and hardware maintenance etc.
➢ Monitoring day to day activities of the project and daily reporting to Head Office.
➢ Implemented Whats-Up Gold Network Monitoring utility for Online Monitoring of WAN & LAN links which helped in maintaining 99.9% network up time.
➢ Managing various e-governence project running in District HQ.
➢ Regular Updation of District Website (www.chatra.nic.in).
Operations & Maintenance:
➢ Installing, Commissionin, Configuration, Technical Support & Maintenance of WAN Equipments,
Lease line modem, IP Phone, Media converter, 24 port Switch (Cisco), Cisco Router (ASR
1002, 2800) & Polycom Camera.
Development of Websites, Softwares, Maintaining Databases, Management of Local Area Network & Various types of project (Digital School, Computer Lab, Security Systems, CCTVs, Biometrics).
