• Managing Logistics department.
• Supervising the completion of all checks and documentation required by law.
• Getting approvals of Export / Import from various government and non-government agencies like Ministry of Foreign Affairs, CID, Police, Environment and Protection Dept. etc.
• Monitoring and tracking the flow of goods into the warehouse
• Controlling the order cycle
• Negotiating costs with suppliers, couriers and other third parties
• Handling DG shipments using all modes of transportation.
• Trouble shooting Mirsal II
• Monitoring the cost, quality, and efficiency of both the movement and storage of stock and goods.
• Tracking deliveries (incl. Free Zone) and making sure the right stuff gets to the right place.
• Follow up with overseas trade partners for DDU, DDP shipments.
• Working with multiple customers at the same time.
• Directing and managing all logistic staff and subordinates
• Regularly liaising with the companies’ fleet of drivers.
• Conducting disciplinary, capability and grievance investigations and taking appropriate action to address any failings
• Representing team in ISO and other meetings.
• Generating Sales & Purchase orders.
• L/C and payment follow-ups with clients.
• Follow up with suppliers for packing, labeling & inspection date.
• Freight negotiations and advising confirmed freight to marketing for shipments by air, land or sea within and outside Dubai.
• Handling movement of cargo from warehouse to POL.
• Managing and monitoring vessel schedules
• Obtaining Marine insurance.
• Updating information in software (Support Pan) regularly.
• Coordinating with forwarders & their overseas agents for switch BL's.
• Due date and acceptance swifts follow ups.
• Getting DG approvals from shipping line / airlines and preparing documents for HAZ cargo.
• Follow up with overseas trade partners for DDU, DDP shipments.
• Warehouse stock management with weekly record maintenance.
