1.1 Maintain presence at the entry and exit points of the trucks in Za’atari refugee camp during water supply operational hours, 7 days a week. 1.2 Verify and record water quantities entering the camp community from three entry points, daily (The three entry points are Eastern Gate, Borehole 1 and 2) 1.3 Verify water quality monitoring procedure by ACTED and report any irregularities, as and when necessary. Note: Residual chlorine of 0.2-0.5 mg/l is acceptable at end user level. 1.4 Monitor and record the arrival of all trucks at district check points, daily. 1.5 Trace a sample of trucks delivery at filling point / street level, as and when necessary. 1.6 Observe and record all or any damages or faults of water tanks, pipeline and other water supply structures in the camp, as and when necessary. Spot checks only. 2. Sanitation and solid waste management: 2.1 Maintain presence at the entry and exit points of the dislodging trucks in Zaatari refugee camp during normal working hours, 7 days a week. 2.2 Check and/or supervise each disludging truck entering the camp, to ensure that they are completely empty, monthly. Agree on mechanism for inspection of trucks 2.3 Check and/or supervise each disludging truck exiting the camp, to ensure that they are completely filled, and sign voucher as evidence, monthly. Agree on mechanism for inspection of trucks 2.4 In the logbook or tracking form, record all details of trucks entering and leaving the camp, monthly. 2.5 Monitor transfer of wastewater from smaller capacity camp lorries/trucks to larger capacity lorries for transfer of wastewater to treatment works, as and when necessary. Spot checks only. 2.6 Ensure that all septic tanks are disludged according to the daily schedule, as and when necessary. Spot checks only. 2.7 Observe and record all or any contraventions of the process by the disludging contractor, as and when necessary. Spot checks only. 2.8 Observe and record all or any spillages, environmental issues or possible contamination sources arising from disludging activities, as and when necessary. Spot checks only. 2.9 Observe and record solid waste collection and disposal in the camp, as and when necessary. Spot checks only. 2.10 Maintain functional telephone hotline for collection, response and recording of disludging related complaints from refugees and other camp stakeholders, as and when necessary/ monthly. Agree on how this hotline can be managed. 3. General Camp related activities: 3.1 Participate in district level meetings and record proceedings, monthly. 3.2 Participate in community based discussions with refugees on issues related to WASH and record outcomes, as and when necessary/ monthly. 3.3 Conduct spot checks of WASH blocks and record any irregularities, as and when necessary/ monthly. 3.4 Participate in community based discussions with refugees on issues related to protection and record outcomes, as and when necessary/ monthly. 3.5 Conduct spot checks of Child protection related spaces and record any irregularities, as and when necessary/ monthly. 3.6 Participate in community based discussions with refugees on issues related to Education and record outcomes, as and when necessary/ monthly. 3.7 Conduct spot checks of UNICEF supported schools and record any irregularities, as and when necessary/ monthly.
