I am responsible of managing a team of designers working on designing the electrical systems of several projects in Dubai
During the last 10 years of experience, I was involved in the Design & Consultation for several Projects that include electrical systems such as Lighting, power, Fire alarm, security, telecommunication and lightning design for different types of buildings.
My responsibilities included calculations, system and equipment selection, layout and performance and preparing tender documents including bill of quantities & specification.
Worked as a Senior Electrical engineer, main responsibilities were:
• Designing green buildings according to LEED (Leadership in Energy &
Environmental Design) requirements
• Designing all electrical systems (Lighting, Power, Fire alarm and voice evacuation,
CCTV, Communication, SMATV, Security, card access, lightning) based on
practical sustainable design principles.
• Preparing Electrical calculation using software ( dialux, calculx, ecodial, panel
builder ... etc)
• Editing concept and final design report
• Quality check for electrical drawings
• member in a committee formed by the National Building council to review “Green Building Guidelines 2009 for Dubai”
Worked as a standardization officer, main responsibilities were:
• Preparing, reviewing standards that are related to electrical field ( cables, lamps, elevators, fuses, lightning…etc)
• Adopting international, regional and national standards
• Secretary of the national committee for reviewing IEC standards
• Member in the national committee for at ministry of public works and housing updating the electrical installation code
• Issuing technical regulation for energy efficiency labels of household appliances ( lamps and washing machines )
• Designing electrical works for all systems
• Editing the concept and final design report
• Calculating the bill of quantity and preparing the specifications
