1.Prepares, organizes, directs, conducts and supervises programs for Orientation/ Training and In-service education.
2.Observes and evaluates staff performance in actual Nursing situations, and assists, guides, demonstrates or instructs as necessary.
3.Conducting Emergency Life Support training for all Staff Nurses. Member of Code Blue & Staff Development Committee.
4.Actively participating in formulating Inter-departmental and Departmental policies. Review and update the existing nursing manual as and when required.
5.Identify and respond to the training needs of individuals and the service.
6.Assess Nurse’s clinical competencies and actively involve in privileging process.
7.Planning & rendering of mandatory training programs.
8.Complies with established Nursing education policies, procedures and regulations as well as Nursing service and Hospital policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and Infection control.
9.Conducting code blue mock drills & participated in formation of RRT (Rapid Response Team).
10. Organizing & participating continuing education programs, conferences, seminars and workshops.
1.Assess, plan and evaluate patient care needs before and during pregnancy including obtaining patient history and assessing for labor risk factors.
2. Perform NSTs & Assist in Induction of labour.
3. Provide total care for the laboring and delivering patient.
4. Assist with vaginal and Caesarean section deliveries.
5 .Provide care to patients in Ante/Intra/Post-partum.
6. Pre & post operative care of patients.
7. Performs appropriate treatments as ordered by physician in an accurate and timely manner.
8. Documents patient assessment findings, physical / psycho-social responses to nursing intervention and progress towards problem resolution.
9. Initiates emergency resuscitative measures according to protocols.
10. Responsible for privacy of the patients &maintain confidentiality of patient’s record and other relevant procedures.
11. Maintains current competency in nursing procedures.
12. Provides care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that is sensitive to the client and family’s diversity, preserving their autonomy, dignity and rights.
13. Reports patient condition to appropriate personnel during each shift.
14. Follow Infection control practices.
Participates in quality improvement activities and Continuing Nursing Education programs.
