As a country Finance Leader, my responsibilities include overseeing the company's four entities/joint ventures in the country to ensure:
1. The adequacy of all companies financials via investigating all potential high risks, imposing controls and KPI, and maintaining proper accounting books
2. Partnering with all Internal and External stakeholders to secure all business sustainability and growth needs
3. Provide management with all necessary information to make enlightened strategic decisions
In Addition to being the Company Treasurer, as an Acting Finance Manager, my responsibilities include but not limited to:
Overseeing the Accounting, Procurement, Operation Control, Collection and IT departments
Overseeing the external relationships with Banks and financial institutes such as SIDF
Overseeing the relationships with audit companies and finance government departments such as GAZT and GSTC
Collaborating with Cluster CFO to improve the efficiency of communication and reporting channels within the organization
Collaborating with other teams and departments to fulfill the company objectives in an alignment with overall policies and procedures
Supporting management with shareholders, board and company committees’ requirements/reports
Preparing Ad-hoc managements reports
Optimizing cash flow through preparing monthly cash forecasts and utilizing access funds
Stream-lining the day-to-day practices through creating and implementing procedures for various functions such as processing transactions and managing petty cash at the company’s five different sites
Managing and improving relationships with existing banks as well as screening for potential future relationships with new banks
Managing the company debt profile through monitoring loans’ covenants, interest rates and IRS
Negotiating Loan restructuring or refinancing as well as new loans with banks and SIDF
Coordinating with both Account payable and receivable teams regarding payments and collections
Managing Forex exposure through negotiating exchange rates with Banks treasuries
The leader of the team founding the department of account and finance in this start-up branch where my responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Institutionalizing parent company policies and procedures
Guiding and training new employees
Book keeping of all activities related to account receivables, account payable, and treasury
Communicating with clients and suppliers
Preparing all monthly and yearly reports
Analyzing company financial statements and investigating any discrepancies
Supporting other teams within the company such as billing, logistics, and sometimes operation team
Representing the company in industry related events such as SPE and MEOS
As a financial analyst with Weatherford, in addition to the tasks I perform as an accountant I handle:
monthly analysis of financial statement
monthly financial Presentations/ reviews for top management
Queries of product line managers related to uploading and analysing their data on the company various systems i.e. KRA, Hyperion, Cadency…etc.
reconciling company different entities within Saudi and Bahrain
As an accountant with Weatherford, I handle:
Day to Day direct interface with Inter-company Team for Asset Addition and Disposal & Reconciliation of FA Register.
proper closing of GL for monthly/annual basis
Month End Reports: ENB, RNR, AR Trade by Destination
Product line cost and income statement analysis
Balance Sheet Reconciliation of all entities in Saudi & Bahrain
Prepayments Schedules
Accrual of Revenue, COGS and Tax
Preparing /Uploading of Roll Forward data for FA, Inventory and AR Trade in Hyperion
Preparing of Foreign Currency Exposure Reports
Reconciling/Uploading of Budgets and Forecast in Hyperion
Routine follow up with Accenture team in Manila for GL Coding
Masters of business administration with a concentration in Finance
