As an expert in conceptualization and interior architectural planning and the retail industry, I played a key role in initiating, developing, remodeling and launching all of Midas retail branches in Kuwait and the region
As Head Of Design and Fit-out Project Manager my responsibilities cover but are not limited to:
1. Meet with clients to consult and determine the purpose of the design to initiate it and develop a concept and visual presentations accordingly
2. Analyze and conduct all aspects of efficient safe and budget-minded interior projects to put together highly oriented design concepts.
3. Documenting planning detailing and selecting interior finishing products and aesthetic materials for building interior spaces
4. Meet with professionals to negotiate design boards and secure local and abroad outsourcing from suppliers to the construction staff
5. Manage and supervise the construction and installation process of interior turnkey & fit-out projects after calculating the bill of Quantities related to each project.
6. Negotiate budgets and contracts and hire contractors and subcontractors to achieve diverse commercial and private projects
7. Develop and manage a professional academic and technical team to process diverse large high-end compelling, budget and time-oriented interior design and construction projects
8. Monitor project activities and staff performance to establish solid efficiency level
Since assigned as Merchandise Buying Manager, I contributed in increasing the retail furniture sales return by 20%
1. Advise on product ordering quantity and setting selling GP%
2. Conduct product sourcing, selection, and buying by visiting international fairs and meeting and negotiating with worldwide suppliers
3. Assess suppliers to expand business with existing ones or eliminate others and introduce new merchandise resources to upgrade product taste and value and secure unique variety
4. Advise retail management on the display branch location and visual merchandising concept of the furniture and accessories items
5. Stock management and inventory control
6. Product Categories and data analysis management
7. Perform quarterly budgets
8. Supervise the data entry and merchandise planning team
9. Create Open To Buy monthly and annual plan
In order to revive the famous good reputation that the company had developed since it started in the field since 1948, I was responsible for the creation of a new image and a new brand identity for the company’s furniture division: Home Furniture, Office Furniture and Home Accessories & Carpets.
Design, execute and supervise interior design projects(also prepare dtailed shop drawings and rendered perspectives) including creating the new contemporary concept of the company's showrooms and implementing the home accessories department. Helping customers with furnishing and decorating their houses, including layout plans, curtains, accessories... Decoration manager(handling with a team, the showrooms layout & visual display)
deal with clients to choose ready made or by order furniture in addition to interior design consulting, and site display & survey.
As a member of the interior architecture team I cooperated in designing and furnishing the special projects (villas and castles) for Emirates and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
