During my post as the deputy general manager, I made sure that the overall operations of the company were always running on the best possible standards.
I ensured that the sales and marketing plans were set to achieve maximum business potential, which were planned meticulously with the business development manager. I supervised, followed up and took all necessary actions to make sure that the sales plan was implemented properly and that the sales targets were achieved and surpassed.
During this year, I changed the business strategy drastically by expanding the potential market towards creating new business opportunities with multi-national companies and major event organisers rather than just schools which lead the company’s revenue to increase by 10 folds in comparison to what it generally makes.
The US headquarters (main franchisor) adopted the same strategy and led other franchises around the world to do the same.
Networking and generating leads for big project ideas were among the activities that I did constantly to create new business potential.
Accordingly, the operations plans were coordinated with the operations manager to make sure that the services delivered were timely, efficient and with the quality promised. A logistics plan was indispensable in order to deliver all of our workshops and shows in a professional manner that would also take into consideration the detailed handling of all aspects concerning the delivery; starting with procurement of the materials, to training of the instructors, storage on site, presentation and packing up were implemented in a top standard manner.
In addition to this, I worked very closely with the financial department to ensure that all our services were not only cost effective, but also optimised for future cost savings to maximise profitability with no compromise on quality.
In the course of this, I translated all our workshops and shows into detailed numbers and made sure every service was cost effective by either swapping or taking out any unnecessary material for more efficiency without affecting the outcome in any way. Then, I created a system that ensures this approach is applied with every new service that was tailored to sustain cost efficiency and quality.
A brand new documentation system was on the top of my achievements because it properly allowed for all the information regarding the best practices to be readily available in depth by all the team members so that quality of delivery of our services remains ensured, every time.
Nutty Scientists is the European leader in fun educational activities for children 4 to 16 years old & is the first of its kind in Egypt. Its mission is igniting the scientific curiosity & imagination of the children & getting them hooked on science.
With over twelve years of experience in the field of business and training, I have gained extensive experience that assisted me in leading both Nutty Scientists Egypt and Nutty Scientists UAE towards great success, making dramatic transformations to the way the service is being presented to ensure better quality. In 2015 I was promoted Deputy General Manager, which further enriched my experience and insight into business and project management.
Responsible for training Science Communicators to deliver required quality level of education to the children as well as planning and developing the programs, and customizing them to accommodate the market needs.

Marketing Plan: Responsible for putting together the Philips Consumer Electronics and Personal Care above the line and below the line marketing activities for the whole year.
Execution: Executed all the marketing activities for both the above and below the line activities which included newspaper adverts, radio adverts, promotions and creating catalogues, brochures and flyers.
Trade Marketing: Frequent market visits to key accounts and was responsible for planning the distribution for the POS material in store. Attended yearly contract signing meeting with key accounts.
Monthly sales report: Responsible for following up and putting together the monthly sales report.
Customer Service Department: Responsible for handling and following up with the customer service department and updating them with the latest products and their features.
Business Meetings: Attended and presented the marketing activities and plans in all yearly and quarterly meetings in both Egypt and Dubai.
Claims: Responsible for handling the financial and marketing calculations for the activities that I have done and reporting it back to Dubai for reimbursement.
Preparing press releases, dealing with press and delegates at the booth at events, responsible for monitoring the website, creating and updating marketing databases, preparing and writing the internal and external newsletters of the company, organizing and exhibiting at events, was in charge of auditing for the sales and foreign and local purchase departments (for the ISO: 9001), dealt with different suppliers to compare different giveaway prices.

Preparing and designing event campaigns, press releases, doing research, designing adverts - banners - brochures and invitations, dealing with sponsors and press, in charge of preparing the final reports, responsible for monitoring all the event websites, dealing with delegates and participants, creating and updating marketing databases.
