Responsible for supporting Ground Operations procedure and process development, training delivery and strategy, liaising with Airport load control, airside operations and ramp service providers, and on-site training delivery, observation of operations and the provision of operational support.
Supports the Manager Ground Operations Policy by issuing bulletins and spotlights ensuring all deadlines are met, distribution, intranet/extranet and share file hosting requirements.
Performs updates to the Ground Operations Manual (GOM), incorporating the content of all Ground Operations Bulletins (GOBs, GOMES, Temporary Revisions (TRs), and policy/procedure updates as directed by the Manager Ground Operations.
Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of Aviation Security controls.
Measure compliance to local, TSA, EU regulatory requirements and UPS standards
Act as the single point of contact for Appropriate Authorities.
Facilitate internal and external audits and compliance inspections and monitor corrective action plans.
Implement Quality Assurance Controls (signed records, screening equipment, recruitment, training & compliance records, security seal and transportation documentation)
Responsible for the inspection and reporting on the technical areas of the Airport in accordance with the Aerodrome Operations Manual such as Runway, Taxiway, Apron and Gravel Parking, Runway Strip and RESA, Wildlife Hazard Control and Habitat Management, Incident Accident Investigation and Reporting, Control of Contractors, Aerodrome Obstacle Observation, Adverse Weather Operations, Airside Infringements-exercising policy, Safety Training and Awareness, Turn-around Audit and Internal Audit.
To ensure that all activities related to Aircraft handling on the ramp are completed safely and efficiently in accordance with the airline standard. To oversee operations on the apron on behalf of the airline and ensures loading, offloading, fueling, catering, cleaning et al. are carried out on schedule. Serves as a focal point for the expeditious ground movement of aircraft ingress and egress within the confines of the ramp and liaison between flight operations.
To co-ordinate all ramp operations relating to operational interface between loading and unloading the aircraft, including the weight and balance as well as aircraft movements; preparing the load manifest with 100% accuracy ensuring computations and center of gravity is within approved limits; to comply with all operational, security and safety policies, procedures, standards and processes with the objective to meet flight schedules with most efficient load plan.
