As ESL instructor:
responsible for providing academic leadership to faculty and developing an effective learning environment for students. Also, we aim to offer the ideal candidate a once-in-a lifetime educational development experience in an international environment to deliver outstanding language training within the Foundation Year Program.
As Foundation Coordinator:
I assist in the performance of the various responsibilities, which are attendant to the successful administration of the Foundation Program.
· Coordination of activities related to the Foundation Program includes English Language, Math and IT core subject areas in the case of the Foundation Program.
· Review and evaluate courses of study with the rest of the academic leadership
· Implementation of curriculum
· Implementation of the instructional process
· Class scheduling
· Monitoring of students’ progress
· Coordinate student evaluation process (quizzes, tests, and other form of assessment)
· Make sure that student attendance are up-to-date and correct
· Provide guidance and coaching to lees experienced and new faculty members
teaching adults whose first or main language is not English. It includes:
-classroom management;
-planning, preparing and delivering lessons to a range of classes and age groups;
-preparing and setting tests, examination papers and exercises;
-marking and providing appropriate feedback on oral and written work;
-devising, writing and producing new materials, including audio and visual resources;
-organizing and getting involved in social and cultural activities such as sports competitions, school parties, dinners and excursions;
-attending and contributing to training sessions;
-participating in marketing events for the language school;
-freelance teaching on a one-to-one basis;
-basic administration, such as keeping student registers and attendance records.
