Responsibilities as Network Engineer at NOC & Data Centre - Officer grade II
■ Network (servers, sans, core router, switches, ATMFC Bank transaction servers etc.) monitoring through
NMS - Whats up Gold.
■ Management and administration of Servers 2003, 2007, Active Directory & MS Mail Exchange Ser.2007.
■ Branches / Head offices / ATM booths link’s conversion via BGP onto other available backup links.
■ Analyze problems, perform trouble shooting, communicate with site/regional Administrator or venders from NOC, and follow ups until resolution.
■ Been working on ISA - Internet Security and Acceleration Server, ASA (Firewall), and SSG 550 juniper to establish point to point VPN links with core router. (Branches/offices).
■ VMware server infrastructure & its components, troubleshooting, backups / restoring and monitoring.
■ Remotely troubleshoot, support, configuration of hardware like routers, lane card ip settings where feasible.
■ Provide a reliable infrastructure for Network operations, in order to minimize the chance of disruption, accomplished through redundancy of each LAN, WAN, Fiber optic cables and power, which includes emergency backup.
■ Configuration and Troubleshooting of CISCO Routers 1700, 1800, 800 dual port routers etc.
■ To provide data/statistics bi-annually to internal/external ISO certified auditors.
■ Remotely monitoring and maintenance of deployed WAN links (Fiber, WiMAX, DXX, DSL, P2P and DVBRCS) of 440 plus branches/offices.
■ Monitoring / Troubleshooting / Maintenance of Proxy Server, Exchange Server, Domain controllers, Online Transaction Servers - ATMFC and Antivirus Servers at I.T. Division.
■ As a senior member, responsible for keeping record of NOC Assets through combine working with IT Asset Management / IT Inventory Management Section.
■ Successfully accomplished a Project of State Bank of Pakistan assigned to BOP bank’s TOP Management.
TLS Transport Layer Security - Certificate for Communication Security over the Network across the Pakistan’s Banks/Financial Institutions.
