• CDG (Carriage of Dangerous goods) inspection (portable tanks, tank containers, swap bodies and dry freight containers): Team leader for TLS (Transport and Logistics Services) of BV Dubai & qualified CDG level-2 inspector as per BV qualification procedure for CDG inspectors. Familiarity with ADR code, IMDG code, CSC, DNV 2.7.1, BS EN 12079, ISO 1496. Have performed inspections for global clients (such as Hoyer, Air Liquide, Linde Helium, GE Seaco, Eurotainer, etc. Providing scope of work, applicable charges, and other terms and conditions for all CDG related inquiries. Review of monthly invoices generated for both internal and external clients. Review of tank survey reports before issuance to clients and performance of Statutory (Periodic) and Non-statutory inspections of IMO 1, 2, 5, 7 and UN T1 to T22, T50 & T75 portable tanks intended for the transport of dangerous goods. Statutory inspections include inspection of tank shell (Stainless steel or Carbon steel), welds, service and safety equipment, thickness gauging & witnessing pressure testing. Assist the MER CDG Head to train new surveyors in Middle East region for CDG inspections. Verify all relevant qualifications of personnel, reports and proposals of inspections performed in MER region are being maintained as per quality plan and assist the MER Head to implement BV Quality system & prepare for annual internal and external audits (ISO 17020 & ISO 9001).
• Material, Piping and Valve Inspection, Wellhead / Wireline and braidedline Equipment: Inspection of raw material and finished products in accordance with ASTM, ASME BPVC Section II, AISI, API codes/ standards. Dimensional inspection in accordance with ASME B16.5, B16.47, B16.9, B16.11. Witnessing Hydrostatic testing of pipes and spools as per ASME B31.3, API 5L, API 6A, API 5CT etc. Witness of destructive testing (tensile, hardness, impact, chemical, SSC, HIC, etc.) and NDT (UT, MPI, DPT & RTFI). Valve inspection as per drawings, review of MTC and verification of markings. Witnessing of hydrostatic shell/seat test, pneumatic seat test, back seat, Functional test as per API 598, API6D & ASME B16.34 for Globe, check, Gate, Ball & Butterfly valves. Witness of actuator functional test, coating inspection, low temperature pressure test, Fugitive emission tests, etc. Providing certification for new Offshore wellhead and Christmas tree equipment such as BOP (Blow out preventer), Lubricators, Adapter Flanges, Grease injection Heads, Crossovers, Hubs, Riser Spools, Stuffing Boxes, RTJ Flange, etc., as per API 6A and API 5CT.
• Welding, Structural steel and fabrication inspection, Stage Inspections of Pressure Vessels: Familiarity with ASME BPVC, AWS D1.1, BS EN 15614, etc. Witnessing Welding Procedure Qualification Test & Welder Performance Test, witnessing the NDT and destructive testing of the coupons at the lab & review of supporting PQR as per applicable code and client requirement. Monitoring welding parameters against the requirements of WPS and verify activities are controlled within the requirements of QCP. Inspection and Control of Welding consumables as per the WPS requirements and review of material and consumable certificates. Visual Inspection of welds on structures, pressure equipment, tanks and piping. RT film interpretation, reviewing/ witnessing NDT, PMI, PWHT and Hydrostatic tests post welding. Stage inspections for pressure vessels include raw material inspection, plate rolling, cutting, visual and dimensional inspections, fit up inspections, nozzle inspections, welding inspection, internal inspections, pressure testing & final inspection.

In addition to the role of Industrial Surveyor, I have performed the duties of Inspection/ Project Coordinator for local operations and WWSI (World Wide Shop Inspections for Petrofac, Petronas, Weatherford, Dana Gas, UNA Oil, DNO Middle-east, etc.). The responsibilities include:
• Report to Business Line Manager for matters relating to the organization of inspection activities, technical matters and allocation of resources.

• Responsible to be aware of the Contract Agreement and/or Service Order in all projects handled. To be familiar with requirements such as scope of work, terms and conditions etc.
• Reviewing all Inspection Notifications (INs) and/or Request for Inspections (RFIs) received from the Client and to ensure that necessary documents are available prior to proceed with the inspections
• Reviewing ITP, QCP/ QAP to be aware of the required inspections the inspector will perform.
• Responsible for the distribution of all updated inspection document package to all concerned inspection offices/inspector s to ensure that all necessary reference for inspections are in place.
• Issuance of Internal purchase Orders to all BV inspection offices worldwide where Commercial & Technical requirements are clearly defined.
• Reviewing of reports from BV Worldwide Inspection Offices to verify the completeness of activities and to ensure that the materials are accepted in accordance to the requirements.
• Submission of all deliverables to clients such as Inspection Report, Inspection Release Note, attested MTC’s/Test reports etc.
• Administrative duties such as: Maintaining document register for all submitted reports such as Inspection Reports, Minutes of PIM, Expediting Reports, Release Notes and NCR’s, checking of submitted time sheets against the submitted reports; review of invoices to be issued to client against the submitted reports and time sheets.
• Submission of weekly and monthly report outlining Inspections performed, Invoiced amounts, WIP (Work in Progress), Provision ( For internal and sub-contractor cost) to Business Line manager.
